Candides crash as a french project

so i have to type a page on a french current event tonight and i chose candies crash on big bertha.

i can basically bull shit most of it but i need some basic facts, so to all the nice people of NS just help me out and tell me whatever you know about it. + karma to all of you who help :)

make up some awesome quotes and i'll post the paper and the grade when she gets it back to me.

On April 5, during the Candide Invitational, and on one of the biggest jumps ever made, Candide Thovex came up several feet short on the "Grosse Bertha" (Big Bertha, in English), bounced violently, and slid to the bottom of the landing.

He broke two vertebrae in his lower back upon casing. It was immediately reported by Skieur magazine in France that no paralysis occurred and Candide would make a full recovery. It appears that recovery is taking place quickly and in accordance with initial reports.

"Candide is in good spirits and doing well," said Paddy Kaye of Rossignol. "He's walking and will be off his skis for a few months." Great news considering the viciousness of the crash. "He cracked two vertebrae... and knows he was lucky," adds Kaye.

 
he should be able to ski this year and is getting better possibly hitting jumps - just don't expect another big berthaish attempt
 
candide thovex crashed at his own candide invitational... he came up short on a 144 step down jump (noob terms right there) and is making a great recovery then just add in a little blah blah blah here and there.

Uhhh no....La Clusaz is Candide's home resort, and it is independent/seperate of Tignes. It's not even close to Tignes actually.

I thought the same thing when I was reading the other dude except I didnt have as good as a term as altitude decreaser.
 
yeah tignes is about 3 hours away from la clusaz. wouldn't you be better off covering his win at the xgames? probably a lot more coverage. laso, if this is for french, does it have to be in french? othrwise what is the point?
 
course it was it's home mountain!!

interesting that a guy is doing this project with no idea where candide's comp is
