ok, so the man is a sick skier, theres no doubting that. but can he really do that many tricks? correct me if im wrong, but i cant remember ever seeing him spin switch off a jump. and ive never seen him grab anywhere but mute or tail. like i said, please let me know if im wrong, but i really dont think ive seen him do either. just an observation, and i'd really like to see if anyone proves me wrong here, cos id like to know.
 
He goes big, he did the biggest tree stall, he d-7ed chads, he cork 810 to rail, and he looks alot better than alot of pros, hence, he doenst need a huge bag of tricks, hes too good for that.
 
he definately can...

he can cork, rodeo, dspin, all that stuff.

and yes, he can do all that switch too.

but, i dont think he can jump without crossing his skis.

that all being said, he is one of the craziest skiers out there, and my favorite too.
 
just cus you dont see it in the newest ant cutest ski videos dosent mean people cant do the tricks.
 
watch the rastafa fides... nuff said. rasta faride 1, 2, french toast, special delivery and pullup. you shoudl be good.
 
if you look at all pros you can say well skier X doesnt throw [misty/cork/bio/rodeo/whatever other trick] can they do it? I'm going to wager yes, it's just that they are better off doing the tricks that they are good at.
 
He only does the grabs he does because that's his view on style. I red an interview on him in 2 magazine and he said that he hates weak grabs like safetys. He likes to really tweak his grabs and keep is skiing style- not rollerblading style.

There are many other pros that only do a few grabs too and they look far worse than candide- steele spence for example.
 
his switch cork 7 truetails are the best ones, check pull up teaser or his segment in the scanners. his switch spins are the best. what i have herd is that he like to ski alone, and just film with ww films. so he don't really do much to gets exposure. sickest skier ever, he just ski for himself. and everything he hits is huuuuge
 
hes the most seclusive pro ever. he comes over here for a few weeks to shoot, maybe skis alone for a few days without saying a word, then leaves to go back home to his small hometown villiage in france. he hates talking to people cuz hes not confident in his english, so he stays out of the spotlight as much as he can.
 
Im suprised you didnt say search bar fag. Anyways candide has been around forever and kills it everywhere. He is a rouge jib ninja that jumps out of bushes randomly and then cork 7 tails over everyone. He goes massive all the time. no doubt he is on of the best.
 
Wasn't part of the reason why he left salomon was b/c he had negotiations to build a whole ski line with them, and they fell through, and so that is why he was stoked to move to rossignol -- someone who shared his vision for skiing?

I thought I read that in an interview around the time he switched. Is this true?
 
Candide seems like a good guy, who just wants to ski, kinda like Seth as opposed to guys like Tanner and Dumont who have a whole lifestyle attached to them. And candide is not the most reclusice pro. that would be Mikeal
 
ya he hits jump switch sometimes. he spins blind side tho, like look over the oppisite shoulder u spin. i've never seen him spin unatty tho...but i don't think it matters at his skill level
 
i'm not entirely sure that you know what you are talking about. Candide speaks really good english.

He's far from seclusive, just because he isnt giving it all tanner styles in the club shizzle doesnt mean he lives with his head up a badgers ass.

He's one of the hardest working, friendly skiers around.
