they are very different. Candide's is pretty much the new superpark cause powder is let us all down last year (now that I think of it, are they having it this year?) whereas JOI is a competition. I think that the Candide invitational was more interesting and fun to watch but they are both great events
jon makes the perfect jump/throws down nasty on it. candide makes like a million perfect jumps and rail features, some stuff never been done before and its all huge. and candides is like a ginormous party just chillin out. i like candides better
jons is more like a huge huckfest sort of deal, winner has the most balls. but the candide is more of style and consistency, so the winner can throw the most together in one run
Soooo we are trying to compare a big air to a slopestyle? Come on now, they're events of their own, the best of their category. You cannot really compare the two.
You're such a tool man. You do not want any progression in our sport. If everyone thought like you did, we'd still be all skiing moguls doing pencil 3's and spread eagles with twisters.
jon because the competition is more progressional to the sport, everything in la clusaz is rediculously sick but skiers are kinda encouraged to do different stuff at yoon's, for example PK's 720 came in second, i cont give jon enough credit
Right cuz lost of arielists use twin tips land and take off switch while grabbin...huh we really r leaning that direction!!
Secondly u really cant compare the 2...Obviously candides has more variety...its not like jon couldnt come up with some rail and other jump ideas. ITs just a big air invitational and is another flavor for skiing i think both are 2 of the sickest events of the year!!
This is really a question of what is better out of a big air event and a slopestyle comp, personaly i agree with the majority and think that candides was best, as it had amazing jumps and innovative rail features but the JOI jump to was amazing and he did not have the opportunity to encorporate rails etc. into the compatition there just 2 comps doing the best they can do in there own catogories
