is it just me or did the joi attract more of the mainstream well known skiiers out there, i dont get it why go to joi if you could go to candide invitational, dont get me wrong here, i mean the joi is a dope comp, and the the kicker is always sweet but candides park just blew my mind its so progressive. Id pick Candide invitational any day, cause of the crazy features in the park. is it just me or what?
 
the candide invitational has by far the best features but Jon has his shit together. because its got way more publicity sponsors make their skiers go their instead, because that is why they sponsor them. next year there is no JOI and candide has a whole year more to get stoned listen to reggae think up the craziest stuff and then stomp some mad tricks
 
i guess its really about who asked who first.

jon hangs out with sammy, simon, tj and all those other north american riders more often then candide does.
 
basically JOI offers prize money, and the invited skiers are treated like kings. Don't get me wrong i would rather ski at candide any day. Also charles gangier went to candides instead of jons i think i'm not sure on that because thats one someone on NS said so don't quote me on that
 
candide's is so much sicker...haha, like someone said ^ candide just gets blazed and listens to reggae and thinks all year about insane stuff to build at his invite.
 
candide's looked much more original, but the word is that jon shows every body involved the best time of their life in are, and i think that most pros appreciate something like that towards the end of a very busy season
 
personally i would rather hit the "safest" jump pretty much ever built then a 45m step down thats 10-15m high.....if you deck on that your fucked....but hey thats just me
 
If I was a pro and had the choice, Candide for sheezy

Honestly if you are a pro skier and have a hard time getting chicks you are doing something wrong lol

Hitting the same jump over and over can get old
 
I would pick JOI. It seemed like a more progressive session, and as far as i know Candide doesn't give out a Golden Key. The whole party scene at the JOI is off the charts, and the jump is amazing. And as far as the actual contest goes the Candide invite looked sorta sketch. Super poppy kicker with wierd looking landing. Looked painful.
 
the joi does sound like it has an off the hook party scene but i think id still choose candide and plus the party scene there probably isnt to shabby
