yea candide is god over in europe if he spent half of the time over here that he does there then youd see his name all over like tanners, but tanner has more of a big personality and hes everywhere you look because hes so interactive with the ski scene

candide isnt the only skier better than tanner the only reason everyone thinks hes the best is cuz hes in the limelight right now and of course he will get much more coverage than alot of other pros...personally i think ppl like pep, candide and saige are better skiers but maybe its just that when i look at tanner i c a gangstar not a skier

boys boys boys obviously this is an matter of opinion and taste, but c. thorvex is better looking than t-hall, so he should get as much coverage but hes cooler. T hall thinks he is a rock star,but he acts like a kid, but c thorvex just goes bigger, regardless if girls are watching, and skis better all round anyway

In my opinion, Candide is most likely the best all-around skier out there, with Jon and Henrik close 2nd and 3rd. Tanner is amazing at what he does, and the fact that he hit Chad's switch is insane. But don't forget, nobody was even hitting Chad's before Candide gunea pigged it. It takes a massive amount of balls to be the first person to try any big booter or gap, and Chad's is the pinnacle of gaps.

Tanner has also really progressed what skiers can do with rails, but there are just as many guys doing what he does (Gangier to name just one). Candide might not destroy the urban jibs, but hey, a corked 810 disaster is nothing to shake a stick at.

Candide's and CR's pipe battles at the X-Games also paved the way for what pipe skiing could be.

Candide is just the total package. Sure he might not be taking golds in the X-Games (victories that one could easily chalk up to Tanner's reputation), but that makes him no worse of a skier. Mark Abma is another amazing, amazing skier. So what he doesn't compete in every event out there?

Candide has progressed the sport his whole life, and hes only in his early 20's. He skis for the love of skiing. As far as I'm concerned, he's the best there is.

Candide is more chill and less cocky than T-Hall, so I like him better. I have to admit that Tanner has more results in Comps and is also an insane skier, but you hear about him everywhere, whereas Candide is only known by the relatively small European freesking community, and doesnt do much more than the X-Games in the US.

man, sometimes i don't understand some arguments, or how some people here thought they were making a point: if tanner hasn't gotten hurt in years, is it because he is a better skiier?

try maybe because he does the same tricks he knows he has (do not get me wrong, chads switch is insane, yet still, he was with jon apparently, so he is not above all else, so stop acting as if he was a god), whereas candide goes uge all the time, trying tricks that no one thinks possible until he sticks it.

as for chads, its named after chad zurinskas, who DID NOT CLEAR IT! he was the one who tried it first, but he cased 2 times and left it at that. it was candide who cleared it first, at 16, the first guy to ride away from it, and whilst pulling a dspin 7 might i add.

tanner is a sick skiier, his wins in X prove that, but as we saw this year, his 'stock' runs don't cut it anymore, and i have yet to see innovation other than on rails from him.

candide is a better skiier, end of story.

as far as tricks are conscerned, tanner has more variety, and pulls his tricks better then anyone, in the park.

but candide pushes it to the max, doing insane things (810 to rail, chads) and also pushes the sport: the candide invitational is one of the best comperionts out there, in concordance with the spirit of the sport, he pushes the sport in general and gives it a good, solid reputation.

tanner, always blazed on something, doesn't help much in that sense, and makes the lot of us look bad (i went down, did tricks, and landed).

candide is the weapon of choice, tanner the poster boy.
