imo its gotta be candide since he can just crush moguls ski insanely technical backcountry and he’s also quite good at park. his style is also so energetic.
 
Candide has clips from 1999 hucking corks on sketchy backcountry QPs in a Hawaiian shirt with super long poles. Markus will never top that

As far as I know eder only skis on snow, not in deserts and the Great Wall of China, making ct a more well rounded skier
 
Right now as a skier? Markus Eder but in total career as a skier, Candide by a mile, which is insane with the career Markus Eder has had too
 
Candide holds a special place in my heart just based-off the longevity of his career and how he comes out of the blue with insane content, but Markus is kind-of a modern day Candide imo based-off his talent. He can murder a park line in one breath and then podium on some of the FWT's most gnarly venues and that's really hard to do.
 
Candide. Markus Eder is like the Chinese knock off. Still a great skier, but I want the real deal straight lining machine that Candide is.

this is factos, markus might be the best all around skier in the world rn but thats cause candide is 36. Also, sammy carlson
 
My heart says Candide, and I’m confident he’s a better pipe skier. Markus unquestionably had a much better rail game, but rail skiing has progressed massively as a whole since Candide skied much park, so that’s not the fairest comparison.

Candide did a cork 810 onto a rail in like 2004 though? I guess that’s more of a jump trick but still, he was doing 4s off when a lot of other skiers were still doing straight on straight off and putting that in their segment

This is true, but still very different from what Eder was doing at Spring Battle last week on a massive s to down rail.
 
this is not even close to a contest. Candide was the first to get a gold medal in all 3 disciplines and hold the FWT Xtreme title (before anyone tries to come at me about Tanner, yes he swept X Games first but never got the FWT win). Markus is obviously an insane skier also but he doesn't have the same raw power, style and influence as Candide.
