Didn't qualify? fuck, should have just gotten an instant bye. I put him on my fantasy team hoping to at least get to SEE him ski.
 
i wasn't talking about injuries. Im talking about how tanner kicked up a huge fuss with red bull, won a low standard event and kept mouthing about competeing and trying to win then disappeared after that comp. candide has kept a low profile (apart from his movie obviously) and then gone into the competiton

i hope candide does well, he fucking deserves it
 
He didn't "mouthing" anything. Every bit of "mouthing" was done by fanboy bitches like you who follow him on social media sites only to repeat the shit he wrote at that specific time and surprisingly, taking it out of context every time.

The only difference between Tanner and Candide is that Candide wasn't the central focus of fanboys like you until he released Few Words and even then he was ignored compared to other skiers because he didn't fall into the social media bullshit.

You kids are so fucking stupid that it blows my mind. I would have never imagined the ski scene getting so absurd that when athletes produce FREE media for the ski scene, it would be used as a way to denounce that skier who made it possible for you to witness that skiing.
 
Obviously they are both legends, and Candide seems like a much more chilled, low key kind of guy, but Tanners comp comeback was really much more successful, he won an event and then placed top 10 at dew and X, much as I love Candide I can't see him doing that. So yeah, less of the Tanner hate!

Candide's style compared to every other comp skier is kinda reminds me of Eric Koston competing with Nyjah Huston...is anyone picking up what i'm putting down?
 
Candide won't be in the Olympics and doesn't need to. He can not buy or train to achieve what these young guys have. . . the advantage of starting their careers now, where Candide & others left off paving the way for them in the comp scene. He's ALSO got what these young guys don't have and can't buy. . . longevity, experience, and influence that can only be accomplished in decades not years.
 
i actually had the displeasure of meeting him and seeing some of his antics at snowpark around the time red bull dropped him. i can assure you he was running his mouth (argument with a lifty about riding without a pass and threatening to get sp closed down, storming into the red bull/snowpark meeting to complain) are just a couple of things

i cant figure where he stands on the olympics. in while we can he is completely and utterly against it speaking out about robot style etc, yet goes to nz to compete anyway.

candide has never (to my knowledge) been outspoken against a large group of people in the community like tanner has. he drops possibly some of the best out of park riding shots i have seen in recent years. he just goes out there and does it regardless of what others are saying.
