Candide Pros vs. 1260's

Okay, I have the opportunity to buy some Candide Pro's, slightly used, for around the same price as I can get a new set of 1260's. I already have a set of x-screams for all mountain, so it's not imperative for this to be a do-everything ski, but it would be nice to have a backup pair. The 1260's would be slightly more, but new. Opinions? And please no retarded gabber, just some legit comments on the strengths and weaknesses of each.

candides ride better all mountain. and, if you like a stiff park ski, they will be better for park too. the 1260 has more flex, so if you like a softer park ski, those will be better for you. the 1260 also has a higher tail and a more progressive mounting point. these things will make switch stuff, and landings easier, but won't be ideal for carving.

As much as I love my Candide's....if you are only doing park with them, it might be worth it to get the 1260's. If you have any problems with them (delamming, edges, anything), Line will more than likely replace them. Other ski companies usually consider park riding as abusive and will only warranty them if it is an unusual circumstance.

good point about the warrenty. that's always something to think about.

welll the 1260 is proly the overallbest park/jib ski there is. and maybe the lightest too. i've heard the candide pro is a very good ski too and i have never heard anything bad baout it. but the only thing i have heard about the candides that are better than the 1260s is i guess they are a lot tougher and a lot more durable. so either way you go you are getting a great ski. so if you have the chance to get a brand new pair of 1260s rather than a used pair of candides, i would proly go with the lines.

its pretty much flexibility over stiffness.

its not where u ride, its how hard you ride it!

Its your choice, but i have the new 1260s and they rock the park. because of the forward binding mount point, they spin really easy. they also have great balance on rails. the candides are better for groomed and backcountry. so, park-1260s all mtn-candide
