That jump is stupidly large. Like I'm not saying that as a compliment to it it's actually stupid. Maybee if it was shaped and stuff like the JOI jump it wouldn't be so bad but seriously that jump is retarted. You'd have to bomb into it at like 100mph and you'd pick up speed in the air cause you drop farther than you take off. sure you could probably do some sick stuff off of it but you could probably do it way easier and way nicer off the JOI jump cause you probably get like the same amount of airtime cause of the way the jumps are shaped.

I dunno I think everything is kinda excessive. Maybee I'm just a pussy but I don't think features that insanely big are necessary.

That being said there's also some really sick features there like the hole, the side by side butter boxes ect.
 
sooo gnar...would be the funnest thing to just have a month to session non-stop because you'd never be bored

that is mind blowing how large that jump is. looks like a damn football field. sweet that they sculpted it like that too. and to those bitchin bout it too big, psh. candide goes huge. not everyone is crazy enough to do it, but there was lots of other sick shit there too, so no real reason to complain.
 
that guy hanging from the chairlift in one of those clips was funny. He dropped onto a quicksilver cube
 
that all looks sooo sick. i bet the event is gonna go off. two sick contests in europe in one week. its crazy awesome
 
the shoulder was a freak accident, fabio just kinda tipped over after landing....the only other injuries were a hyper extended knee and shoyji, which took the jump to the BOTTOM and fell around 65ft to almost flat

even when people were having trouble, decking/overshooting they were fine, there were some nasty crashes but the nature of that jump is 10000 times safer then the candide jump

 
I still have yet to see any video of someone actually hitting the big bertha booter...

there's only one clip of someone hitting it as a hip in one of the videos. Did anyone actually hit it??? I don't understand why there wouldn't be any video of people hitting it.

The article on Skipass in French says that it was the biggest disappointment of the event because nobody hit it. 2 testers crashed hard by decking it by like 3 meters then it ended. That beast was f*cking 45 meters long = almost 150 feet!! But the article also says than Candide may hit it later this week to get some footage for his next movie.
 
but did u read about some other people who fell, but didnt get hurt. like someone landed tips first/tips dug in landing (something like that) and was fine.

because you arent landing with as much downward force, you wouldnt be getting hurt as much, i think.

and imaging landing tips first on a 144foot step down, i think that would hurt much more than JOIs jump.
 
that jump IS stupid. it's like a scaled up kicker over a roller in the middle of a groomer, or the shit those olympic distance jumpers hit.

it's not a stupid jump..it's a candide jump...and while olson make acro ( dub flip no grab, dub cork.. )instead of freestyle, candide pushes again the limits. candide is simply the man and who says that is amazing jump in sm3 was stupid? Nobody because candide fly hight and come to land:

true big bertha could probably kill someone, but it was candide's show, and he goes huge off everything. you can't really compare safety to the JOI because its just a session there is no pressure on anyone to hit it, with plenty of other choices.
