Candide invitational 2010

CoreUpt can not pay for such an awesomely huge comp. Rossi is the reason that went down, and I don't think we'll see another one soon unfortunately.
 
another candide invitational would be amazing. hopefully coreupt could make it happen in the near future
 
Yeah, but Candide Invitational is on another level. Like organizationally, money-wise, it was crazy. Concerts, ridiculously huge and difficult to build park, multiple day event, that takes a lot of time, manpower, and money. I just don't think coreupt is able to put something like that on yet. But then again, they have huge investor money, I'm sure they could make it happen. Just would require massive effort, maybe coreupt will make it happen again sometime in the next few years though.
 
i had recently asked candide if he was gonna do another one. i was there in 07 and 08, and they had the best features ever to be found in a park set-up (except 07's big bertha) quicksilver was the main sponsor for these invitationals, not rossi... he told me that he was having problems with the resort la clusaz (only 100m from his front doorstep) and that there would not be anything like those events again... however, knowing candide, he does want to do this invitational again, but is way too busy with his world tour, candidekamera, and other stuff related to his sponsors (he was also very hungry after watching the pipe at x, in his own country) he also told me that he was interested in doing a much smaller version for kids. so, i really doubt we will ever see anything like the C.I.'s again, and will have to suffer through jon's ego crazy event in are!!!!! sucks, but thank the corporate monster (this time the resort of la clusaz) and how greedy those fuckers can get...
