i blew out my ACL, and from experience i can say it's about a 6-8 month recovery. that's without reconstruction surgery and a good knee brace.

honestly, it hurts till it stops swelling....

but teh fact that i snapped my femur in half at the same time, and was on IV morphine for days could be a small factor in that.

He blew is knee on a glacier in Les Diablerets (That's in Switzerland... Nothing to do with Chile 1080spinna...)

after surgery your knee is soo fucking swollen and full of blood. the pt is a pain in the ass but obviously works....you just need to work hard at it. the braces are expensive as hell but work really well, then you still get pain after a long hard day or weekend of skiing. there's days i take my brace and gear off then my knee doesn't want to do jack shit. stairs are a bitch

i agree with liam. dave cleaned everything up this year from his switch 10 mutes to his urban rails (which were really ugly in stereotype but amazing in forward teaser)

 
liam is totally fucking right, crichton is going to fuckin throw down this year. if he didn't get hurt doin a certain rail this year he would have definitely claimed some metal at the x-games, but it doesn't matter. i'm callin DC as having the most game this year. you will all see.

 
wait he blew his knee out in Switzerland? Don't they have really good doctors there and spend a lot of money on medical stuff? His knee should be fine in a couple days then, not like how the american or canadian doctors say 4-6 months.

Surely the Swiss medical sytem is considered by many as one of the best in the world (absolutely everybody is insured and having to wait more than three weeks to have an operation is just unthinkable) and all the hospitals are well equiped, neverlesse the techniques and material are just about the same you'll find in the States or anywhere else in Europe.

But Candide is French and I don't suppose he'll stay in Switzerland to recuperate. Even thow France is actually going through a very bad health crisis ;0).

I'm not worrying too much... I think Candide will have all the medical care he needs anyway...

 
France have good hospitals, especially the one in Moutiers (Olympic hospital), near La Clusaz (Candide's home). If he did do it in Chile, that knowledge ain't much good to him...
