Candide 4.0s or JJ 2.0s

I'm at a loss, I've been trying to decide on my new pow skis for this winter and these two are the closest I can narrow down my options too, I'll be skiing in the alps so they need to be able to handle the groomers pretty well and I'm considering getting touring bindings for them.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with these skis/recommendations.

If youre set on those two, JJ's. They have a tighter turn radius and are very playful no matter what you throw at them. I even have a friend that has them center mounted (or super close) and shreds them as his dailys for park and casual tree runs.

If you plan on doing any type of touring go with the JJ's. The candides have a large, arcing turn, and might handle a little more stable on the groomed, but the JJ's are lighter, more playful, and turn on a dime

Personally I'd recommend the Candide's if you're thinking of touring on them and spending some time on groomers. Candide's are lighter (1875 g in 182) vs. the JJ's (2290 g in 185). They also have a substantially longer turning radius (23m) vs the JJ's 17m. However, It depends on your style of skiing: if you like carving longer turns the Candide's will do better with their longer radius and less taper, but if you're mostly going to be making short turns and want a more playful ski do the JJ's.

I ride AK JJ's mounted recommended every day, im 6'2" 185 lbs and have found them to be plenty chargy and fun. Never been too much or too little ski if that makes sense. I fucking love my pair and i dont think i'll ever not own some

Id go with the JJs if i were you. If you have a way of getting a pair of the jj zeros DO IT! they are so damn awesome and totally worth the money. Best pair of skis I've ever bought.

Thanks all, from the looks of it the JJs are more what I'm looking for, been on Volkl Gotamas the last two years for an all mountain ski so I'm more inclined to make a change to more playful skis after trying a few other pairs out last season, just seem a lot more fun.

How are the zeros different? I'd seen that they were releasing the new line but didn't really pay much attention to the details

Bedsides that they're limited edition. They're also 20% lighter then the regular jj and damn they're light. I mounted them with marker jester bindings and they're by far the lightest setup I've ever owned.
