Candide 2.0 Length

So I'm considering getting the Candide 2.0 for next season. I currently ski on 178 Scott TW Pros and 185 Bent Chetlers. I'm looking at the Candide 2.0 because I want a ski that's between the 86mm and 120mm underfoot of the TW and Bents respectively.

I'm 6ft tall and 140 lbs. I'm a pretty aggressive skier. I'll center mount the skis since they have a symmetrical sidecut. I'll use them mostly for spins off natural features in bounds.

So would you recommend the 178s or 184s?

Thanks

I'm gonna get these next season and having the same issue. I'm 6'2 but fairly light. I am used to 178 soma and I'm gonna riding them for everything including park so not sure. don't think i will centre mount them though maybe 2 back!

If you aren't looking to ride them in the park that much i would go for the 184's especially as your riding them centre and the fact they have a fairly big rocker but its preference i guess!

I'd get the 184s, I'm 5'9 135-140lbs and the 178 felt right for me. They are pretty soft and light feeling (even though they aren't particularly light), I can't see you having any issue with swingweight on 184.

EIGHTY FOUR! EIGHTY FOUR! EIGHTY FOUR! (that's supposed to be a chant lol) Yea get the 84 cause when you center mount the ski tends to feel shorter since you have less tip (thats what she said..)

(even though they aren't particularly light)

iv been riding these and im smaller than you they are very light you fucking twig

They are 1950g per ski in a 178. The 178 Blend is 1935, the 182 Moment PB&J is 1900g and the 178 Al Dente is around 1890g. The ON3P Kartel 98 is a little heavier at 2kg. So no they aren't particularly light, they are completely average weight for a ski of this size.

I've been riding them for a while, they are one of the best skis I've ever skied but they aren't 'very light', you don't know what you are talking about.

u have another thread asking where you can buy candide 2.0 but you say are already riding them?..

When do these go on sale? The only ones I can see at the moment are the Limited edition candide signed ones. Also anyone know if there is a price difference between regular and limited edition?

They are a 2015 ski, I would expect them to be in stock in stores mid-september. The price on the signed ones is RRP unless I'm much mistaken.

I would go with the 184s unless you plan to ski a lot of trees and/or bumps on them, in which case I would consider the 178s.
