Candide 1.0 or 2.0?

Need new skis for next year and I'm thinking about getting one of Faction's Candide skis (2018 model). I know they are different styles of skis, the 1.0 is a bit more of a firm, slopestyle ski whereas the 2.0 is a bit more playful and flexible. Gonna use them both in and out of the park and I was wondering if anyone had a preference, if they used either of them, or general opinion. Lmk

If your going ou the park at all then 2.0, the 1.0 is solely a park ski whilst the 2.0 will handle everything

I struggled with the 1.0 for some odd reason but I found the 2.0 much more responsive. Either way Faction knows what they are doing and makes a decent ski.

1.0 isn't very good out of the park. 2.0 for sure! I've had both, I feel like the 1.0 is softer.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe the 2.0 is softer, also if your going for a one ski quiver got 2.0 for pow/all mountain use

Ridden both, 2.0 is definitely a fair amount softer than the 1.0. I ski mostly in New Zealand and we don't get a lot of freshies so the 1.0 has been fine for me. Skied the 1.0 in about 10-15cm of fresh and it was surprisingly passable, id rather have something wider but it was serviceable. 2.0 is the no brainier if its a one ski quiver somewhere where you get fresh snow cause in fresh/deeper snow its going to be way better. One other thing to remember is the edges, 2.0 has 1.7mm where the 1.0 has 2.5 (in one dimension) so 2s wont last that long if you spend a lot of days on rails (neither probably will tbh as all the factions ive seen have been relatively beat up by rails).

FYI im 200lb 6ft skiing 182 1.0 and 184 2.0. I dont own the 2.0 but if i was to buy a pair id try find something closer to 190cm its a very light stick so i wouldn't worry about going longer on it to make it a smidge more stable around the mountain and give a bit more float in pow.
