Hey grads, where are you guys applying and for what programs?

If you guys have questions you can post them here as well, I'm sure there's members on here that go to schools you are interested in.

I'm applying at/for:

Ryerson: Image Arts & Marketing

Concordia: Image Arts

Guelph/Humber: Media, Major in Photography

Guelph: Marketing (co-op)

Carleton: Marketing (co-op)

Mcmaster: Marketing

UBC, VC and Interior Campuses: Marketing

Thats right now at least. I change my mind pretty much every day.

Zack.

Good luck getting in if you don't have 90%'s eh! But seriously montreal is the coolest city, great culture, great music, great ski scene!

gonna apply to capilano for their wilderness leadership course, then after i do that for a year then thompson river for adventure studies

You would be making a big mistake if you don't apply to bishops university. Wicked skiing scene, close to Montreal, crazy partying and really sweet people. Pm if you have any questions.

im doing business too!! mcmaster is my main choice, then theres laurier which is going to be extremely difficult since it requires high 80's minimum, guelph for commerce and maybe uofo. also been looking at bc unis and mount a. cutting it down to 3 choices or 4 but id have to pay an extra $75..

Currently in TRU for Graphic Design. Awesome school and there is a climbing gym and ski hill not far away.

from real toronto none of that missisauga shit. UBC is the way to go, whistler an hour away, not cold as fuck like montreal (although vancouver has a lot of rain). and also fuck tremblant when you could be at whistler. UBC is also a really underrated legit school

Yah, I'm not cutting it down haha. The thing about laurier and mac is that, while their our first choices, their the backups for queens, Western, Waterloo applicants. When they all get accepted there, it frees up a ton of spots at other schools.

yeah, queens comm, schulich and Ivy (kind of) are the best business schools in ontario, but really tough to get into. I have some advice for you though- scratch Guelph-Humber off your list. I did one semester there last year, as well thinking I'd specialize in photography. Don't do it. The program isn't tailored around photography in the slightest, it's very poorly organized and the professors are idiots. Trust me, but PM me if you want to find out more

well im only in grade 11 but im thinkin ubc in kelowna.

but im pretty stupid so i dont know if i'll even go to university, and if i do i'll probably end up dropping out.

Yep, but my rents are fine with paying for it, they'd rather me get in at a ton of schools then have to apply late if I get rejected everywhere (very unlikely I have an 80% average).

im taking my chances. the enrollment is 550 for mac which is pretty big, hopefully ill get in! are you doing a b of a or an actual business/commerce program?

Holy shit OP. How much did that cost you?

I applied to UBC and UVic. With Uvic as a backup. I got into UBC but I went to UVic anyways!

Um no... Its not a waist of money if I have no idea what I wanna do. I'm apply to 3 schools for photography and 4 schools for Commerce (I decided not to apply to carleton).

"Waist"? Preparing to drop a ton of time and money despite not knowing what you want to do? Idiot.

This is NS, who cares about grammar. And again its not a waste, my rents are happy to pay it so I might as well keep my options open!

That looks awesome, never heard of it, but from the research I did it seems to have a good rep. And I can do a uni level undergrad degree! Only problem is I am not living in the burbs! +K though.

come to Trent University and never ski again bitches!... 4 years ago I said I would only go to a university with good skiing next to it. I honestly have NO idea how I forgot that when I accepted at Trent and threw away potentially 4 solid years of studying next to a ski slope.

I go to Concordia, transfered here from University of Utah this past year and living in Montreal is fucking good times. I would definitely recommend coming here. Amazing music scene and not to far from skiing. Typically I ski at Jay which is easy since I'm originally from Vermont and it only takes 1.5 hours to get home from MTL

university of Lethbridge : General in Social Sciences Selkirk College: Ski resort operations and management

and then probably ubc for political science and some university in ontario for a back up.

Chances are that if i do not get in to university, I'll just ski bum for a year or two.

same, that is if i still like it by the third year. im applying this weekend which means i have to make up my mind. so far it mcmaster and guelph for sure.

I started my ouac last weekend but never sent it. I still have to do some more research on programs. I'll probably send it this weekend. Also, I found out guelph runs a bus to Blue Mountain every saturday, so you'll get some skiing in.

Anyone ends up going to guelph, let me know. I don't go there buy my girl does and I stay at her house all the time and head up to barrie area to ski often. Plus it's always fun to spot an NSer at a pub or club, especially in a town like guelph. Not many skiers.

UBCO is my first and only choice really , hahah and prob just taking marketing until I know what I want to do for sure . dont wanna waste my money taking something that i dont wanna do but i figure i can apply markiting to just about anything.

Well I go to U of C for Economics and went to Mount Royal U (both in Calgary) if anyone has any questions. Eng is a huge and really good program at U of C

I plan on being a NEET next year. I live in BC though so I might consider dropping in on a couple of the classes out of pure interest

Applied to: Western, Laurier, queens, Mac, ryerson, and carleton. 6 in bcom/bba and 2 in communications. Its alot but i have a fear of getting in nowhere..
