Canadians (and northern USA). Go outside and look up.

Do people usually have better things to do at 4am than witness awesomeness?

It was 1am

And I was watching the northern lights and letting other people who might be up know about them.

my military budy is station in AK and he posted these this morning:

Just found a really awesome picture from here in western WA last night that looked pretty damn bright: http://www.king5.com/your-news/173424261.html

I went outside in Seattle at around midnight but didn't see anything. May have been that the northern view was a bit obscured by hills and shit. I know people saw it from downtown around 10pm or so.

you probably wont see anything tonight. RuggyRo embedded the image but I think that it's a gif file that updates every time the satellite passes, so it doesn't show what it's currently like. click on the link and you will see that it is pretty average tonight.

Speaking of natural phenomena in Eastern Canada/the North east, did anyone else in the Montreal area or elsewhere feel the earthquake? It shook my building for like a second or two. Facebook's blowing up about it.

You can see the wavelengths moving if it's dark enough out and shows the depth plus huge streaks going way up int space from time to time.
