Canadian Xgames and Canadian Dew Tour Stop...

i fullly agree with you but it probably wont hapen because of the distance from other major ski resorts. The only big place i can think of off the top of my head in Canada is Whistler and that would work but another big thing is I think it would lack the viewership to be worth it to televise set up big features etc. etc. In maybe 10 years probably but lack of population in Canada as of right nnow might be a bit of a problem because I dont even know if it would do good in America.
 
i could see a dew tour stop work at whistler or something, i think that would be sick. but theres already the "North American" x-games. with europe already too i dont think they would expand for a little while.

but if slope and pipe get into the olympics then with the inflow of money into the sport you never know
 
Well we do have something like it with the World Skiing Invitational | AFP World Championship but would be great to have a stop of some sorts in the east, like here in the Quebec City area, we got lots of great urbain skiers and we even have some X game champions and tour winners so why not
 
A canadian dew tour stop would be sick and possible. A specific Canadian X games is not feasible. It is to small of a market in Canada to have a X games event.
 
Are you retarded? Look at the bow valley. Four resorts within an hour of each other. And cop could probs handle it too.
 
You guys are probably right with regards to the size of Market. Maybe in a while something could come up to Canada or if Slopestyle and Half-pipe do become Olympic sports and more money starts flowing. As for the guy that said that the Bow area could handle with all of its resorts...would Louise be able to handle all of these people? does Banff have enough accommodations and infrastructure to handle these events?

candian xgames will probably never happen, i dunno why just seems like more of an american type thing since theres way more people in CO than bc or alberta (i think). canadian stop on the dew tour would be sick tho
 
This would be really sick. More comps in canada would be so awesome for the sport here. Yeah, maybe whistler would be a cool place, but I personally think whistler, as good as the skiing is, but overrated and overpriced right now. I think if an event like the dew tour was to be held there, it would become as commercial as the Olympics. I would really love to see a comp go to somewhere different in Canada for once.
