Canadian Visa

anybody from the states, and had to get a Visa to work up CAN...if so how did you go about it?

It's difficult to even work with a uni visa. In kind of seems that you can't really get a work visa without have some professional level job or a job requiring a bachelors. You have to have a job offer to get a visa and you're only supposed to get a job offer if they can't find a Canadian who can fill the position.

umm i know tons of ppl from the UK and the US that have come here on student visas.. it doesnt sound that hard to get one. just gotta be a student

If you know people who are from the US and here working on a student visa then the employer is breaking the law. Unless there is absolutely no Canadian with the qualifications to do the job, americans are not supposed to be able to work on a student visa. US is totally different than the common wealth countries.

I only know how it works with residents of countries in the commonwealth working in Canada.
