For the Canadian kids. Where did you apply/have you gotten in anywhere yet?
I got into mac, ubc, western, queens, guelph, and ottawa for sciences. Any of you guys have any advice as to where I should go?

I'm definitely not an expert, but ubc has a really good reputation for sciences. plus there's some sort of student pass to whistler if you attend. check on the Vancouver regionals forum, there's a few threads on this.

yea whistler and grouse are definitely pulling me towards ubc, but Ive heard the science program there is crazy competitive

Im accepted at University of the Fraser Valley and British Columbia Institute of Technology

But im in trades (Welding)

I'll be at UBC, I know a ton of people that are mad stoked on it. PLUS whistler is somewhat close. And Vancouver's a sick city. And UBC is ranked really well.

congrats man! queens is definitly an awesome uni, i know a ton of people that are going/gone there, you wont be disapointed.

its laurier for a BA for me

You must be a smart kid to get into all those places. I say go to UBC, it may not be the best ranked but you'll be in Vancouver, which is an awesome city.

I applied to ubc and u of calgary for engineering and got into both. I want to defer and go to ubc. Didn't even consider any schools east of Alberta, because frankly, I'd blow my brains out living so far from legit mountains.

UofC is so hardcore with the engineering. If you want a great program go to uofc. plus you're an hour away from Sunshine and 1 1/2 hours from lake louise. plus getting to BC is eeaasy.

I wouldn't call crossing the largest mountain range on the continent during winter "eeaasy." I wouldn't call it quick either.

Thanks for the driving lesson. If it's shitty weather and the roads are ice of course it's not going to be "easy" or "quick"I was pointing out that we're what ... 2 hours away from the B.C. /Alberta border.
