Canadian tour event ?

we are looking into a national event tour and want to see what areas would be good to hold events across the country.

this tour would be a pro/am type with big name sponsors and a 6 area tour from east to west and a national final, the top 5 from each event would pre-qualify for the final show down in big air, slope style and half pipe. there would be big $$$ for top 3 at the final show down. this is why we are also looking for people with conections in areas to help out with this tour. for sponsorship we are working with a car maker, an airline company and either a cereal or candy bar gruop. so please help us out here we need your input, thanx

ottawa.. a canadian tour isnt complete without a visit to the nations capital

BC - depends on the atmosphere that you're trying to achieve. whistler is obviously the name that sticks out but other locations, such as Big White, would shed some light on some other talent.

Alberta - lale louise is another obvious choice.

ontario - Blue mountain knows how to throw excellent events. lots of other small hills to choose from here in ontario though.

QUE - tremblant is another big name but you could also try to go after the smaller hills.

just a quick point...i can see that 3 of the hills that i've mentioned are intrawest resorts. if you were keen on whistler, blue, and tremblant, then i'd talk to intrawest to see if you could get something going across all 3 resorts.

BTW...smaller hills are still known to throw incredibly sick events so dont just go after the big boys.

i would say...marble mountain (maritimes), mt. ste. anne(quebec city/montreal), camp fortune(montreal/ottawa), blue mountain (toronto), lake louise(alberta), fernie(interior), and seymour(vancity).

Blue Mountain, Mt. St. Louis Moonstone, St. Sauveur, Stoneham, Le Relais. all good east coast venues.

yea in quebec and ontario

Stoneham, avila, tremblant are like the 3 big spots

blue seems to be the best place in ontario

I think that if you do this tour. you should do something like the dc comp. in skateboard.

like there is qualification in each mountains

and then the top 3 goes in the finals somwhere in canada

marble mountain nfld is maybe too far for people to get to but a great mountain I skied there a few yrs ago, maybe crab or farlange in nb, as for Quebec stoneham or avila as they have great parks, in ont it could be the collingwood areas or maybe something closer to TO, louise for sure in the rockies and close to Calgary, Seymour sounds good for the Vancouver area, the question now is where to hold the finals, east or west, what do you think?

screw the east, go Seymour/Grouse, WHistler, Sun Peaks, Big White, Fernie, Lake Louise, Kimberley, Sunshine, Kicking Horse. No just jk but I think Sun peaks would be a good spot in BC since its right in the middle of the province, although i've never been there. Finals in Whistler for sure!

Hey a Canadian Tour includes the East,

Marble, Farlange, Ste-Anne or Stoneham, Tremblant, Blue Mtn, Somewhere Jib Contest on Prairie silo's, And Maybe a couple of resorts out west. East coast rocks.

 
hey chillonhill where you at dude, marble would be nice but a little far for most people, like the expense to go there is high but the skiin was great tho, ah yeah the east rocks dude
