I heard a while back that Canadians have some weird slang. Do you Americans know any of these, or did you invent them?

Scrap: To fight someone

Cheddar: A sloppy pig like person

Wheel: To hit on someone, not to be dating, just to do date like things without dating (i.e.: making out, fingering? holding hands, sexting) a third wheel can be applied

Flow: to have greased back hair

anyone else have any?
 
How is that slang?

I've heard Americans say that too, furthermore the definition of wheel is not one I know. Wheeling a bitch just means you tryna fuck her tittayz.

 
A typical Canadian conversation:

So i was playing some puck (hockey) the other day and my flow (mullet) was looking sick then some tool started chirping (insulting) me so we scrapped (fought) and I wheeled (hooked up) his sister that night.
 
bahahah no you are wrong. flow is not a mullet

generally just long hair, relatively greasy, slicked back over your head. I believe the whole style originated from how hockey players with long hair would wear it back over their head when they ha their helmet on, and it makes it stay slicked back like that. Atleast thats what all the hockey heroes at my highschool would do.
 
I'm a Canadian and have literally never heard any of these words being used. I didn't even know the meaning associated to them except for scrap ...

duster, as in, one who collects dust while sitting on the bench cause he didn't make it pro in the nhl
 
i hear people use scrap for fight and wheel for trying too hooking up with/trying to sleep with people dunno about the other ones (yay canada >< )

I'm a Canadian and I've heard all of these except scrap I hear wheel (to make out with someone who your not dating) and flow (slicked back hair, usually worn with a hat) the most.
 
But Canadian hockey players use "flow" still as a term for mullets. Also another slang word is "beak" which means to chirp, one time in a hockey game I was playing a team from America and he called me a pussy so I was like, "Sick beaks" and he didn't know what it meant.
 
Flow is American too. Although it means just genaeral "steezy" hair although slightly different. Definitely not mullet though
 
the slang differs a lot of west to central to east. Beaked and Chirped are definitely on there. Wheeled is too. If you are reaching something, you are attending said event. If you are gassed up or or gassin someone then you are blowing up there ego. If you are chapped you are pissed off. If you are underage and need alcohol you are lookin for a boot. You may own a packsack if you are from thunder bay instead of a knapsack or backpack, you may also be baked out of your tree. If you want to what up with someone you may say whats good or what'r you sayin. Flow is most definitely long slick backed hair. If something is perce it is advantageous for said individual. Oh man, you got a ride up to the mountain this weekend from your girlfriend. That is so perce. The list goes on

I try to speak english like a normal person but a few of my friends are from Toronto so that can be difficult at times.
 
Rock Pile - In hockey we call the rookies rock piles cause they're as useless as a pile of rocks.

Twigs - What we call hockey sticks

Apple - Assist

Dangle - Puling a move and embarrassing the other team

Some hockey slang, not sure if it's universal or Canadian
 
Quailer: a packed bowl of cannabis that is piled above the rim of the piece.

used in a sentance: hey bud, want to go out back and pack a quailer?

Randy= Right

Larry= Left

In context:

"Yea, take you're next Randy then it's your seconded Larry past the rink."
 
In canada our Smarties are actually candy coated chocolate similar to m&m's but much more delicious! We call your smarties "rockets"
 
never heard of cheddar and wheel means ur trying to get with a girl if you already are getting with the girl thastd not wheeling
 
I think by Canadian slang, you mean ontario slang.

When I was bc, no one used those "slang" words
 
In saskachewan they call hoodies bunny-hugs.

No idea why but it makes it really hard to take a guy seriously when he needs to grab his bunny-hug before heading out.
 
Can't think of many words... Eh is up there though.

My girlfriend grew up in London, England, and she tells me I have a very Canadian accent.

Most of these are just what douchebags that play hockey at my school say, but anyone you don't know the name of you refer to as buddy. And the smarties/rockets thing.
