Canadian mens hockey team chokes

Fuck Canada and USA. Went in to Olympics as a favorite ended up not even placing. haha Greatest day of my life.
 
actually they didn't really go into favorites, most people knew they were going up against stronger teams this year. Canada played horrible. That goal that the ref didn't see is gonna be a hot topic.
 
Considering we are defending champions, I think most people at least considered us to at receive a medal finish. And that goal will be the talk of the water cooler tomorow for sure. That game should of gone to overtime. I can't believe that call. Can they not go "upstairs" and change the call of the goal before the next play starts?
 
the goal isnt a hot topic. Its a VERY WELL known rule in hockey that when shit like that happens and the ref loses sight of the puck, under the goalie, with 4 guys crashing the net, he is going to blow that down to make sure the goalie isnt hurt.

It was the right call. Period.

Canada didnt deserve to do well anyways, other then Brodour, they played like shit. (they actually looked like the Leafs in Team Canada jerseys)
 
Why werent guys like Staal, Spezza, Crosby, Phaneuf selected? Even Kariya and Tanguay could have been selected over those no shows.

And the defence was horrible at springing the forwards, Chris Pronger brought the team down in every game and McCabe couldnt live up to all his hype. I didnt think missing Jovonaski and Neidermayer would have been this big of a blow.
 
Canadian mens didn't deserve to win. They didn't play like they wanted it. Props to the russians for getting their shit together and playing a hard ass game.
