Let me get this strait... You moved to Sweden from Canada... and you love skiing?

Bad move, especially since you moved to Gothenborg. I live just south from Gothenborg but on the east coast and last year we had snow for 4 weeks. It was a pretty average winter too...

On a more serious note. You're not that bad off in Göteborg, there's pretty smooth running busses that'll take you to places like Sälen and Kläppen in Sweden and Tryvann, Varingskollen, Trysil and Hemsedal in Norway. All of these places have super legit parks (i prefer Sälen or Kläppen for park), and Hemsedal and Trysil also have legit freeride if the conditions are good. Downside for Norway is that it's mad expensive. But your best bet is definitely to hook up with some locals and catch a ride with them. I'm pretty sure that there are tons of people from Göteborg that go to these places on weekends and holidays, or maybe sometimes hit up some of the hills closer, like Sunne, Säfsen and Branäs. I don't know about park in these places though. So let's get some Swedes on this, va fan häller ni på med, help a brother out! I can't help you as I'm danish, and moving to Switzerland in 3 months.

yeah but I was pointing out that I live on fairly the same latitude. Thus receiving basicly the same amount of snow... wich isn´t much

There's a lot of skiers in gothenburg, but no skiing except urbans, if there is any snow. The guys that runs skistore.se (@ Skanstorget 6) skis a lot in the alps. There's usually quite cheap flights to the alps. A lot of good skiing in Norway on "Vestlandet", 6-10 hour drive from gothenburg (places like Röldal, Voss, Sogndal, Röldal hosts an FWT event, great place).

I currently live 1 hour up in the mountains from Voss and we've already had 3 snowfalls, unfortunately it got warm again and it's raining right now but there will be snow next week again.

I'll be moving back home to gothenburg in a month and work at skistore, come by and have a cup of coffe, talk some skiing and see what everybody is up to this winter :)
