is just the shitiest test ever it takes you over 3 hours to complete and if you get less than 80 on the mandatory strudy tests it makes you redo the whole module

just take it online..

you can have the answers open on the website in front of you and it says to have a supervisor in the room but how the fuck do they know hahah

its fool proof.

it was redic... i even failed one of those mini tests at the end of each chapter and i had to re do it... SOO stupid.

I was actually looking up taking it today now that I see this thread im curious to wether how you guys failed 3 times?

It just fucking annoying. I did it last week. Took me almost an hour to do the final test because i didnt want to get anything wrong. If you go on google and look up practice boat license test there is a test that gives you some of the answers from the test its pretty nice. I copied everything from all the chapters, if you guys want them let me know and i will send it to you.

Took it online last year and it was the easiest thing ever as you can easily cheat.Although it's probably good for people to actually know the basic safety rules of the water haha.

But anyway, it's like $50 and super easy, take it.

Nah not all the answers but i have all the chapters so you can open them during the exam.I am trying to find the practice exam with the answers, i will post it when i find it

yeah i failed on the 5th one twice so i had to keep redoing the leason but i passed the actual test my first try. the whole thing took me around 5 hours

are you guys talking about pleasure craft operators card? i did it in a room with an official supervisor and it was easy as fuck

yup, it super fucking hard. my mom did it with a supervisor a couple years ago and said it was super easy, and she looked at mine and said it was redic.

I know the one here in north carolina used to be super easy, but now when you are reading the chapters there is a timer on each page and you can't go to the next page until the time is up, takes forever now, thank god I already have my license

lol... I got it in my gr 9 tech class (teacher was certified test giver) passed it without cheating took under 1 hour and it only cost me $15. Plus if I had failed it was free. Don't really understand where you're coming from really..

I took it at the Toronto boat show. Super easy and I didn't even realize that there was a supervisor behind me. Took like 30 minutes and didn't study at all. From what I understand the online test is a lot harder.

Anyone who thinks boat test are easy... doesn't live near the ocean or have any rivers near them. The Washington Boat test is kind of a bitch. If it were just a Lake and wake board driving test I would have crushed it. But no, there are endless types of PFD's and buoys that will destroy you. Not to mention navigating in fog.

Getting mine soon, I was walking into Canadian Tire one day, and there was a little booth outside that was selling the exams, and I got a card that I can take home, then I take the test online with a code from the card. It was $40 I think, and I got the handbook for an extra $10. Unlimited tries, and it doesn't cost anything if you fail/try again.

Its easy no matter how you do it. I did it at the Ex a few years ago, But if you do it online you can just cheat . Duh

Yea the CT one was super long and I just passed it with the minimum. The mapping was hard as shit. I took it a while ago, was at least 8 years ago, that would put me at 14.

do it online. I did it online and had my room mate as 'supervisor'. took 5 minutes, didn't get a question wrong, room mate didn't even have to get out of bed.

If thousands of asian fisherman on the west coast can do it without even being able to speak enough engrish to function in society can pass it, you'll be fine.

you do. at least in NYS you need a boating license until 16 or 18 and then for a personal watercraft you need the license until forever.

regardless, my dad was friends with the guy who proctored the exam and i didnt even really take the test, he just told me the bubbles to fill and gave us the licenses. i was like 13 or 14 at the time.

for real life boating though you just gotta remember everything captain ron taught you and to always stay between the red and green. keep beers and bongs below the gunwale when the sheriff boat is on the lake.

literally did it in 20 minutes and passed, didn't study at all. Also this was back when i was like 14

this is boatsmart ontario right? used to be real easy i hear. got real hard over the last year. i boat illegally. that's whats up. (it's a sailboat)

Correct.

But the test/course if stupid long. I think it took me 8 - 10 hours for the whole thing.
