i love canada, and i have never met a canadian that i do not love! (except moo man) i hope to go to a canadian collage! yea for canada! US sucks.

for the most part there isnt much differnce. and why would there. neigbooring countries that speak the same language and the people that populated it were from the same place

as much as you deny it, us Canadians are completely the same as Americans. look at it this way, if we took some person from africa and took one canadian and american and asked the african which one is canadian, he wouldn't know.

I love my country. But, in my way if seeing it, I dont see it as a country, but a global community were people work for the benifit of others. There are no boarders and hate (except for Ontario, I will explain later). We live in an multi-cultural society were everybody is welcome, the only thing you must leave behind is your hate and war.

Why Ontario? I come from Quebec. We have nothing against any other province. But Ontario hates us for nothing. They steriotype us as lazy, seperatists morons. If there is one place I will never come back to is Ontario. Sorry for the generalization, I have nothing against the province, but I am sick of the people im living with.

Stop with the generalizations and form your own opinions based on REAL people that YOU actually meet. Yes there are dumbass people in american, but there are also dumbasses in Canada. true but the maj. of members are from the US. When Harvey posted it a while ago it was 60% Americans 25% Canadian and rest was other.
 
Well I like Canada. I've never been anywhere in Canada that I didn't like but I do love the US. I love so many places in the US and can't think of a better place for me than New England.

Canadians do hate on americans!!! You're a dumbass if you haven't noticed it in threads before. I'm not saying that americans don't hate back, but you're wrong in saying that canadians don't hate on americans.
 
I don't like quebec at all, generally most of the quebecer's i've met are stuck up little priss's who immediatly brush you off when they find out your not from quebec. Worst off they keep bitching about getting more and more funding from Ottawa while other provinces that need it more get put by the wayside because of our fucking french (background) dominated political parties.

I'm sure though there are plenty of nice quebecer's but im just speaking about those i've met.
 
I was born in Toronto, lived in Calgary, moved to Washington State, now I'm living back in Alberta.

Isn't really that much of a difference, besides the whole weather situation. (Rain blows)

I like most Americans, and I like most Canadians.

My WHOLE family is from canada (I live in Michigan). Almost all of my relatives are from canada, mostly London, Guelph, and Kitchener (all Ontario). We go to Canada often to visit and MOST of them give us shit for living in America. I'm not saying all Canadians do, but based on my relatives, many Canadians do give Americans shit.

And your whole arguement is based on me saying "Canadians on this board." Let me correct my statement by saying "MOST of the Canadians, AS WELL AS Americans on this bored are fucking ignorant!!!"

If you're going to argue back, have more than one point. You just repeated yourself a bunch of times saying that I contradicted myself, when really, it was hardly a contradiction. I also just corrected my statement to what I really meant. And don't make assumptions about the people I know.
 
Now I don't hate Americans. Americans are who they are- Americans. However, a reason why you tend to get shit from us Canadians is quite simple. You generally deserve it. Mind you, I'm talking about the joking, fun sorta shit, not the overly serious stuff. Why?

Here is why:

What is the capital of Canada?

What is significant about the CN tower?

In what province is Edmonton?

Who is our President?

How many provinces do we have?

Etc

Pretty simple questions, that I'm willing to bet not one of you was able to answer without looking it up (usually it ends at the first one). I think I've met one American who could so far. I also tend to meet those Americans that claim they arent "those" Americans, as it has been largely abroad where I met them.

Now I find Americans to be rather nice people. I'm merely trying to say why your best friend feels the need to pick on you, because you as our best friend don't really know too much about us... and you probably should.

 
Americans abroad are kind of like Australians in Whistler. "No no we're not like that, really!" And then they are and you go "AH. Tricked by a rodent."
 
Honestly, what good would it do us to know that shit other than for a conversation? Im pretty sure most people dont go out of their way to store a bunch of knowledge about a place they dont live at. I honestly dont really know much about outside the US because i've never been outside of it, i will go someday though fo sho.

I live in Canada. I know a metric (fuck imperial) tonne about the USA. I know a lot of things about a lot of other countries regardless of whether I've been there or not. See how that works? It's useful to know things about the world just for the sake of that knowledge... Conversation my ass. Who cares about conversation, most people don't really want to listen to a yank try to sound like he's worldly anyway. What you're saying actually sounds like a recapitulation of the cynic's theory that Americans talk all the time because if their mouth ever stopped moving, their brains would turn on.

The foregoing was not a criticism of the US, just that dude's post.

And yes, there are Canadians in BC... somewhere... look closely, you'll find us. Just look for any hair that isn't black or dyed blond.
