but he didnt look very good against USA

and it seemed like every goal scored against him was the kind of shot LuLongo would save
 
^ marty might be better, but i would like to have lou. hes carrying some confidence now, and i feel he might be able to stop the powerhouse russians using his butterfly. brodeur is all over the place, even though he stops a lot of shots. but i think lou is better off for those snipers.
 
They should base it off of performance, and I think Lou earned his spot after tonights game. I love Marty tho.
 
IMO, its Lous game to lose. Give him the chance; its his city, his arena fuck its even his crease. If we wins think about what it will do for him
 
i dont know man. if i were babcock id have marty in there. i dont think marty will make the same mistakes he did in the USA game. but who knows. im not coaching there for a reason but to me marty just seems like the only choice.

this game really is gonna be a shootout. i really dont know who to pick for it. i kind of have a gut canada will pull through. mainly due to a home ice advantage though.

Brodeur is the best goalie of all time. He is better than Roy. He has done everything, won everything, played on worse teams than Patrick and been the focal point, and won a gold medal.

Luongo will start tomorrow. It's his tourney to lose now unless he fucks up and gets pulled (which probably means we're out anyway). He wasn't perfect today, but if there's one thing to say about him, it's that he's the most intense competitor imaginable back there.

there both soo good, but i have more confidence in luongo because he is consistently great, i dont know much about brodeur (or hockey really) but for being the started goalie on the best team he kinda shit the bed

Marty lost us that game, he gave up two momentum killing goals. The first was 100% his fault, and the second was partly his fault. Either way Canada can't take chances like that now that its elimination. All we need is a goalie who wont give up easy goals.

I'm gonna say they have to go with Luongo but I wish they would have given Fleury a chance earlier in the tourney. He's super sick and I think that right now he's better then both Luongo and Brodeur.
 
marty made some mistakes and gave up a few goals he shouldnt have but he didnt lose the game for you guys the whole team did. the d wasnt on point. and the offense just couldnt score. obviously give miller credit but i think the offense played very tense.

anyway i think you guys are insane to throw marty under the bus like you are. you really think he will have another game like the USA game? luongo is a good player but how many cups does he have? how many times has he played deep into the playoff in high pressure situations? id take marty over luongo 15 times out of 10.
 
Brodeur is the best goalie of all time, however if you watched the same game that I did you would know that Canada's loss was pretty much 100% because of Brodeur, he should have saved pretty much every shot that came his way, he is having a bad week play luongo.
 
i watched the game dude.

im saying broduer had a bad game but i dont think the blame is 100% his. with the high caliber offense that the canadian team has they should be able to score more than 3 goals. even on ryan miller who was playing out of his mind.

that said im hoping to see ovechin lay out sindee crisby tonight.

canada will win though.
 
not 100% to blame, true. we should have scored more goals but couldn't keep momentum.

he let in at least 1 goal that was completely his fault. some would argue 2 of them were his fault. if he didnt fuck up like that we would have at least tied. end of story. play luu
 
lu better start, when you have 3 goalies as good as those three are, there shouldn't be any hesitation to pull them when they play like brodeur did in the us game
 
welp.

im sure everyone will be second guessing. what if marty played. just like the other night. what if luongo played. if canada loses tonight.
