A lawyers job (sorry if I offend the few lawyers out there that are not so) is to lie. Does it mean much. Not really, but maybe it will give you a slight reason to at least try think that this new "Devil" might be trustworthy, relatively.
I mean, the guy says (key word) that he is going to put in a Liberal senate so nothing to crazy can get passed. Id like to see an idea like that happen from the opposition party. Or even an idee period....

well its not like i truly think all of albtera is retarded that was more directed to klein and compagny.. that 400$ hes giving out to everyone is absolutely worthless... everyone's gonna blow it on boose and cigarets, if he actually gave a damn he would invest that shit into the university's. We live in the rickest province and get this year university fees went up 6% or some shit, figure that one out... and i have a hard time seeing how everyone in alberta is voting conservative.. its not klein that made us rich as much as it is the oil, and through what klein does I dont understand why people continue to vote for him. So either people know nothing or juts dont care.. and i know how to spell know but i dont give a damn. taking your time to spell on the internet proves shit all, i just had 6 diplomas so im allowed to relax.. and if I seem bitter at the world because i havent done anyting fun in the last 9 months its because I am. So chill the fuck out.. the conservatives stand for nothing i stand for so thats why its a shame the whole province is blue.. And lots of the people voting DONT know ANYthing of what's going on... they decide on who they vote from readying the headlines in the paper... First of all, Edmontonskier. Dont tell me to chill out, when you are clearly the one that said something silly. While I realize that you obviously dislike the Conservatives, you should realize that most Albertans favour them (65%). Albertans are not stupid people and I find it really sad that you think so, just because they think differently than you. You can attribute our economy to the Oil as much as you want, but it only goes so far. As for myself I didnt vote Ralphie the last election, and this isnt even about Provincial politics. However, the Albertan economy is good for more than just the reason of having Oil, although, admidetly (haha, cant spell) it really would have taken work for a gov to screw up Albertas economy under the current situations. 65% voted for Conservatives. Are we all really that stupid? Come one, what kind of a fucking dumb arguement is that- we all just voted on what we read in the paper? You can say that for anyone that voted for any party. So basically, as said before, you are in Conservative country. Once you are actually old enough to vote, and maybe have had to live on your own, then you may think differently. Maybe not, but then at least you will have a better spectrum on things. So for now, deal with it, and please, please quit crying and whining.

I'm not happy with the guy in office, because I think he actually is evil. Like, his personal beliefs are so heinously offensive to me that I honestly consider him a bad human being. But then lots of people fall into that category, and as long as he doesn't fuck around with the country too much, it'll be okay. My uncle's a lawyer, he's the most hardcore conservative I know, his whole family is so far right they're practically falling off the political spectrum. But more realistically, deciding you can't trust someone based on their profession is pretty silly. In fact I'd go so far as to term it "ludicrous" and "laughable" and "... you must be joking, right?" Why don't we go on what they say... Oh I have, and I will depending on who takes Martin's place. In fact I wrote a research paper on Martin's liberalism last year. I probably know more about your buddy Harper than you do. I've been to 2 public appearances by Layton (he's just as crazy in person by the way). And if everyone decided to look into Harper, I'm sure that about 1/2 the people who voted for him would say "This guy realllllly doesn't represent my views." Many probably wouldn't have voted for him if they'd been informed... many of those that still would would be doing so solely on the grounds of disliking the liberals. Well, they already did vote that way, so... I guess the system functions in ignorance, too.

What I can't wait to see is if this is still an issue next election... because it'll make about as much sense to bitch and man about it then as it does now, given when this all took place, and under whose authority. I'd say the difference is that you guys don't seem to read much of anything... Or when you do you read selectively, and mentally white out large chunks. In this case the big thing on the front page of your local paper with the picture of Martin and "CLEARED" in big block letters after Gomery was done... but yeah. Like you said... forget it. I've been to 2 public appearances by Layton (he's just as crazy in person by the way). I don't know if you have wind of this in B.C, but our conservative premier is extremely incompetent and it's virtually impossible that he be re-elected. Which means that the PQ will come in, and that we will hold yet another referendum.
Can Harper be a credible defense for federalism? We'll see. Rumour has it Chretien had a war plan ready for a "OUI" victory But besides, what annoys me is that I don't neven know if the rest of Canada really cares.
