Canada post is on strike!!!!

its fucking bull shit... i have two things coming in the mail and the fucking mailman isnt a hard job at all they usually get off around 1 also being a mailman is not a hard job the only difference between me and them is a full license...

both of my parents work for canada post, so why don't you shut the fuck up, you don't even know what you're talking asshole.

First, they never get off at 1 and two, have you ever spent 6 hours during a cold snowstorm going houses to houses to deliver some mail, I bet not so go teabag some bear traps.

oh muffin i spent 6 hours skiing in a blizzard, sorry that your parents are whiners and have t strike and throw the entire country off balance

oh they didn't even strike, it's canada post that went in lock-out. They locked all the post offices in the country and no one was allowed to go in or they were charged for vandalism.

Some of the mailmans accepted to deliver some mail (checks for all kind of stuff). They got paid 50$ for the whole day. Do you know what they did with that money, they gave it to a foundation.

So yeah, shut the fuck up.

Wow, you sound ignorant

The government just ordered them back to work so the strike is over. It has been a bitch though, I have been waiting on 2 jerseys to come in the mail for some time now

you shut the fuck up. they did go on strike, so canada post got pissed and locked them out, we didnt need it but served them right. either way its the mail carriers fault.

you are the biggest douchebag of the planet, it's incredible, you have no idea what you're talking about. I'm sorry if you haven't received your giant dildo in the mail yet but that's not the workers' fault.

Workers in other professions also have to work in those sort of conditions occasionally, so shut the fuck up. It's not like those are their regular working conditions.Did you know this is the 20th work stoppage since the inception of the CUPW? Just a bunch of damn pussies. Canada post should be privatized, because this is just ridiculous.

they aren't going on strike because their job is hard, they go on strike cause the new policies Canada post wants to add are discriminating the new employees. I know it sucks that both parties disagree that much and that things like that happened.

And yes I agree, 20 work stoppage is a lot.

my mom is the vp of marketing for french connection, and my dad is a partner in a company that makes and sells hi-fi stereo systems, like bose but better

tell them to get back the fuck to work and quite complaining about their cushy jobs that are better then 99% of the worlds. What the fuck do they want? gold toilet paper? They're complaining that they only get 100% pension after a whole 30 years of working!! oh my!! well why don't we just give them the 25 years like they want! that way they can retire with 100% pension at 45 like every other person who works. And I too know people who work for Canada Post. a nice 30 hour week and get paid for 40? sounds like fun! and what is this? the 20th frikken time they've gone on strike in 45 years or something stupid?

but yea, no hate or anything. I'd love to be corrected if anything I said is wrong. I really would like to be. But I have absolutely no sympathy for them when people are working their assess off until they're 65-70 to be able to put away enough to squeek them through until they die when they can retire at 50 if they start early and get full pension. just so much bullshit going on it's not even funny.

oh, bit late on the uptake I guess. but yea, ordered back to work. proving the strike was unmitigated and caused by bitchy union workers who think they deserve more than is deserved

and gameboy, just because your parents are working for a company doesn't all of a sudden make the company in the right. They could be working for an arms dealer selling weapons to hostile militant groups, doesn't make it right jsut cause they're your parents. You have to face that sometimes someones parents are doing something that's not in the best interest of the country. Not saying your parents are bad people, but there's always that possibility that they just aren't in the right for striking. (which obviously they weren't if they were ordered back to work)

dude chill mail is part of a union in canada, the union leader decides this shit, and people in the business may disagree with the strike, but they have to take part whether they like it or not, its exercising thier rights... its been a while and nothing is clearing up so far... it shows how much the government cares, which is none... so they strike to get recognition and respect

yeah I can make the difference haha. And like I said I agree that 20 work stoppage is a lot.

Canada posts wanted to add new policies that would have sucked for the new employees. I didn't really affect my parents really cause they are older employees and all that. But the sttp decided to stand up for the new employees. At first, they did not want to go on a strike, they just wanted to fix this problem. I guess the sttp and the canada post don't have a good relationship...

But yeah this one sucked and I think it's stupid that they had to go on strike, BOTH parties could have fix that.

its not like you parents were forced to be mailmen......do u really need alot of credentials to be a mailman..no

gameboy, im not trashing you parents or anything just that i believe that the mailmen are asking for a little too much...yea during the winter they do have to work in harsh winters but it isnt the hard being a mailman

Ha, I work at a Canada Post, not as a delivery person, just as a clerk I guess. For the past week I haven't had to do shit because no one was bringing in parcels or anything. It rocked.

So wait, the earliest this passes is Thursday, then it needs royal assent, so the soonest I can get my mail is next monday? Because I want my fucking tax refund already.

Yeah it's fine but like I said, most of the mailmen aren't really affected by the new policies, it's only the newest employees who are affected. They have to work until 60 to have a 100% pension and have a lower salary. The sttp decided to stand up for them, even though it's like less than 10% of the workers. The work stoppage is very unfortunate though.

But yeah my parents were fine with that, they love their job, they just had to go with the others.

They are going to be sent back to work with the new legislation as early as monday. I think the bargaining process is important, but it is getting meticulousness and abused by employers. Honestly pay increases in this economy? I bet people would be lining up to deliver mail for $27 an hour.

This is what I was going to do, but I have one thing I need to send, which is to a PO box, and guess who's the only service in Canada that delivers to PO boxes?

dude nobody fucking cares your 1st thread got deleted cause nobody fucking cares. you're 15 and don't know how the world works. I want you to write me a 2 page essay on the negative effects of being a retard on the internet.

with the canada post losing revenue there going to have to make cuts somewhere...just like any other company...but at least its only to new workers which is better than cutting everybodys paychecks.........any word on when the mail will start up again and how much of back order will there?
