First off, i would just like to thank united airlines for delaying my skiis and luggage. After barely making a connecting flight from Chicago to Vancouver, its nice to know that my baggage didnt make it. Now, 26 hours after filing a missing baggage report and countless phone calls to Simon, united's automated telephone answering machine, i still havent recieved anything. Trying to make the best out of the situation, and since i already had tickets to whistler blackclomb, i demoed skiis boots and poles and hit the slopes. The conditions here soured my view of whistler to say the least. It rained the night before and then proceeded to freeze, making the whole place a sheet of ice. Fuck, im so pissed right now, and ive been on hold for 42 minutes. Fuck you United and fuck you shitty weather.

I was just skiing with some guy from whistler who was here on business for a few days with his friends. He said the terrain at whistler was awesome but the snow was kinda shitty often. that guy fuckign ripped and was super nice. I've never seen anyone so excited to ski alta before, Definetly renewed my hope that canadians arn't all piots.

ya man that sucks. All the costal mountains in BC are suffering. My mountain went from a base of 85cm 3 weeks ago to a base 43 cm today.

i have a suggestion: next time, buy two seats next to each other, and put your ski stuff in that other seat. then it wondt get lost

I have another suggestion -- never go to Whistler before the mid-end of January... IT'S NEVER GOOD when you are flying. The chances of randomly hitting a good day flying in are rare. So unless you're a loc, just don't come until February. It'll save you some angst and money.

the exact thing happened to me, as far as the luggage and stuff goes. except ournplane broke down in Cincinnati, so we were stuck here for abut 5 hours... then when we got to Chicago O'hare (rediculously huge airport) we had to sprint all the way across it. then we got to Vancouver at like midnight, and without our luggage. this was in the summer time though.

hey concept dude, i know there is a lot shittier things goin on, i broke my collarbone last year and right now im sitting here at copper after dislocating my shouldar for the second time in 3 days. but im not complaining because yesterday was a sick powder day and made my whole trip worth while.

 
shit...I am flying to denver next saturday if they fuck up my luggage I will be mighty pissed. It'll be the only week of quality skiing that I will probably get all winter so they better not screw it up...I'm suing right and left if they do
