Canada cracks down

the only reason canada would ever crack down on pot would be if the us pressured it. so fuck america, we pressured colombia to make growing coca leaves illegal, its the same thing

and to the kid below, yea lets talk about wasting money, if i recall that cricket organization asked for 150 grand and mcguinty gave 1 million dollars of tax dollars so they can build a new pitch. and since im a cynic, he was only doing it to secure the ethnic vote.

and you say the tories waste money, wait, i guess you didn't see the paper, but we have a 14 billion dollar surplus. and you are complaining about wasting money to fight drugs, are you fucking stupid or something? are you only concerned about whether or not you will be able to get your pot, but totally forget about the social repercussions that hard drugs have on families and on children?

 
oh and my juxtaposition of hard drugs and pot isn't connected. i don't see pot as an enemy to a household, its the other ones, but since pot is still a drug it falls into the same categories as the others under law.
 
although I am pro legalization, I'm glad they are putting money into prevention and treatment programs.

however... I don't think there's anything wrong with having a small amount of marijuana on your person.
 
I hate the conservatives, why? they are tyrans all of them. Just because they believe in god, they should do whatever the fuck they want.

First off, we may have had a surplus last year (I'm not even sure if thats true?) but like most countries we are still billions of dollars in debt.

And for your information, I don't smoke pot, my mom is a councellor and I have worked with many people with mental issues because of drugs and alcohol. I am well aware of the problems drugs have on families. But what they are trying to do will not change any of that. The money could be better of spent setting up programs that would be more benifical.The money shouldn't be put towards "fighting drugs" it should be used for those who actually WANT help. If a bunch of 16 year olds smoke pot that up to them, and giving them a slap on the wrist won't stop them from doing it again. I'm pretty sure more children are effected by FAS than pot.

I don't like the Torries for many reasons, you don't have to agree, but this is a waste of money and time.
 
I would prefer they crack down on drug trafficking that actually causes societal harm, like meth. Weed is generally pretty harmless, as anyone with half a brain should have figured out by now. Or hey, if we need to crack down on a drug problem, how about alcohol abuse? Tougher drunk driving enforcement would be just dandy. I don't have to worry about a pothead killing me while I drive home from work. The Cons haven't fucked up many things since they took office but I prefer them when they stick to competence in running the country and don't push a social agenda. Way to waste the judicial system's resources, guys. I better see "the party's over for street racers" among the headlines next week.
 
Fuck the Conservatives dude. I liked Chretien's era with the Libs. He even made the effort to go see Avril lavigne at the Junos one year(I believe). Since Harper's been in, Canada's been getting shittier.

This is gonna be a massive waste of money. Screw the tories.

and yea, they do need to crack down on drunk drivers, they act like the street racers are the only ones causing damage on the streets. no body pays attention to drunk driving its just the street racing that all the politicians and news talks about.
 
i don't know how much you know about economics but a budget deficit is not really all that bad in most cases, but for your information it was the liberals who gave us that debt, and for the most part being harder on drugs is helpful if they go about it right. Giving kids tickets for smoking pot is pretty useless but cracking down on harder drugs like crack, meth and heroine would be pretty helpful. Ever been to east hastings dude? Cause I don't think it's a waste of money trying to stop shit like that
 
I know nothing about economic not gunna lie. But its still my money being wasted I rather put it towards something else.

And I'm not saying the Liberals were saints for the national budget, far from. But I do believe the Liberals (not particulary Chretien) set-up some strong programs that have shaped our country.

And I used to live in Van and have been to East Hastings many times, but cracking down on drugs won't change that. They need to set-up programs to get these peoples lives on track.
 
Just be reasonable and don't make yourself part of a political party. Let yourself go with whoever is the best candidate. In the 1980s I would have definitely voted republican for reagan/bush sr. (if i were alive) in the 90s I was all about Clinton and in the 2000's bush is no good for me, and 08 im definitely going with Obama. Im still not part of any political party and I feel I am picking the best candidate to run our country.
 
I've been saying it a lot recently but Stephen Harper is way too busy wrapping his lips around Bushes cock to acctually run his own country how it should be run. It's amazing how much my political views have changed over the last few years. grade 10 I was so far right wing it was gross, next election I'll probably vote green party maybee NDP

So in canada now theyll bust pot dealers and people will say fuck i cant get pot,,, so theyll go cook up meth and kill people just like america
 
How about a political system based on individual issues rather than picking a group of people with a whole fucking range of ideas on an even larger range of issues?
