i will be waiting for a plethora of excuses if canada loses today.

you guys were so quick to throw marty under the bus last week. who will it be this time? sindee crisby? loungo?

 
well since usa isnt under the gun like canada is, were probably gonna pull out another big win like we did last week.

Well considering the last game was a game of goaltenders, and Marty made some stupid mistakes, we didn't technically throw him under the bus, he just got the blame he deserved. Considering Canada outshot the US 2:1 (48-24) in the last game, it's pretty fair to say that Ryan Miller won that game, not team USA.
 
and at aprox. 6pm est, 33.3 (percent im assuming) of canadians will be rioting, crying, and not letting anyone from the us into their country.

What he is saying is that Team Canada got off double the shots that the US did. If Miller wasn't such an outstanding goalie then chances are Canada would have gotten more pucks in the net and therefore would have won.
What that statistic should have told you if you weren't so 'dense', is that the Canadians out played the Americans in almost all aspects of the game EXCEPT for goaltending.
 
i know what hes saying. but it doesnt matter. because you know what. canada still lost. stats dont matter if you don't win.

 
and i still dont understand this love for loungo. yeah hes a good goalie but marty is much better. marty played a bad game against the USA last sunday. but you know who i trust in a big game like this marty. loungo honestly didnt show me much this last week since the USA game. the germany game didnt matter because they just didnt have the team to beat canada.

russia game, the way russia played sindee crisby could have played goaltender and canada still would have won. now slovakia. slovakia was one pavol demitra finish from tying the game in the final minute of the 3rd period. if i were rooting for canada id be very nervous with loungo in net today.
 
Because Brodeur has been trying to play with the puck to much and his style isn't paying off. He keeps getting pissed off as soon as players come in his crease and starts trying to push them out, which incidentally brings him out of position. He even admitted the other day when he got pulled out that the players were getting into his head. Luongo coming into the Olympics was the hotter choice anyways and you said it yourself stats don't mean anything if you don't win. Luongo has had results so far.

If I were rooting for the American's I'd be nervous... because your about to get fucking destroyed.
 
Regardless I gave you plenty of other legitimate reasons, at the moment I just have more faith in Luongo, no doubt Brodeur is an amazing goalie but he just seems to be moving around too much and not in the right directions.

33.3 million... because we actually love the game and love our team. Unlike most of you americans who watch hockey once every four years and shit talk everybody.
 
I will have you know that I among many of my friends, and their friends, play, watch, shit talk hockey every day. Now because of your stereotype of my country I am glad to say I dont club baby seals and pay for things with monopoly money.

so its 33.3 percent of the people. so about 11 million.

ouch man... i guess iam a just a stupid american... thanks. great job.. and yes we can play at any level in sports. Execpt soccer.. i am not one to get in to the america vs canada thing.. cause it involves sport.. which i beleve in the idea of sportsmanship. and have all my life. now with that said.. iam a hocky buff. i have many freinds that are hocky buffs .. the city of portland oregon is proud of our hocky team and happy that they are making it into the WHL play offs this year. we support any player that plays for are team regarless of there country of origin. so sir.. i think your the one who is handing out the gross genralization.
 
i have tons of respect for the canadian hockey team. they have me nervous as fuck about this game. but you know what if the USA loses im not gonna make excuses. im not gonna come on here and throw the goalie under the bus. im not gonna say we outshot you. im gonna say my team lost to the better team.

 
well shit man we aint so differant after all.... agree on that.. at the higest level. its sucks getting second. but really from a sport veiw from a hocky veiw... could you ask for more. unless all of a sudden you say number 99 walk out on the ice.. then i know we would be fucked.

i was in agree ment with your post about how their are americans that have been playing/watching hockey, that watch everygame of their respective NHL or minor league team.

but according to these kids since we are americans, we dont know anything.
