so me and a bunch of friends are planning going to mtl to rent a suite for new years eve, bu the problem is.....my girlfriend isnt quite 18 yet, booze isnt the problem obviously...is there any way to get across the border while underage without a parent?

there is probably a paper you can fill out that gives like "parental consent" or whatever it's called, i had a trip into a foreign country without my parents and i had to get one.

i'd say bring a gun incase any questions are asked at the border. but also bring her birth certificate, and make sure she has a drivers license on her. with those two things you should be fine.

i think all you need is a letter from your gf's parents saying they know who shes with and that theyre giving permission to you to bring her...

this question may sound retarded but are there back roads that go in and out of canada? like in Montana or up there, some place where there is no customs or nothing?

i mean i wouldnt think so but then again????

In Alaska you can get into Canada completely unnoticed via the Yukon river. If there's a draft, I'm buying a raft.

wow you serious on you need to get papers to come acrose if your under age lol i whent on a road trip with my budies to florida when i was only 16 i had no problem getting into the states just showed my passport....................

i didnt read anything in the thread but when ever i bring friends to the states they need a paper signed by both parents saying that theyre allowed. and you need either a passport or 2 other things like a drivers licsence and a birth certificate

She's 18, she's legally an adult in the US, she doesn't need a note from her parents. However, it would be a nice touch. And if you don't have a passport, remember to bring BOTH your license/ US photo ID and a copy of your birth certificate.

dude, i have a few rafts we can use. the only problem is that the yukon flows from right to left so we will be paddling upstream to get into canada but if we could get a hold of a motor then we will be set.

then perhaps I'm thinking of a different river. My family and I floated it into Canada once. The boarder patrol was confused/angry when we tried to re-enter America without having any documentation of us entering Canada in the first place...

haha no one reads my threads...

shes 17 NOT 18...

and the note isnt an option because her parents wouldnt be down...

ive heard they need a ssn and a phone number to call the parents at the border? of course we could just bury the fuck out of her in the trunk...hahaah.

at the beach near where my cousin lives in white rock BC you can just walk along the beach right into the UStheres nothing stopping you whatsoever

I'm pretty sure if you have a passport you can do w/e you want. Its should just be like catching a plane, you don't need a letter from your parents to catch a plane.

i gave a letter to the feds from parents saying it was cool that i toted around a few zips of weed, but that didnt fly so well

i don't know how it works these days, but when I was a kid (aka - underage) I used to cross the boarder quite a bit with older friends (sans parents) and didn't have a problem at all. I'd be like 16 crossing into the states with 22 year old friends and there was no issue at all.

i personally liked your ryhme( i hope i spelled that right)

and as for the border crossing situation, just make sure you wearing a canada hockey jersey a give a two four of labatt blue to the border guards, you will be all set.

you dont need a note or number or some shit like that, and since you say thats not an option, I wouldn't even consider it.

try your best to have a copy of her ss card and an id (passport is best), just say her parents know blah blah blah, dont look like a bunch of jackasses, be polite, have all your documents ready and all that happy horseshit at the border.

granted, things have changed, but i've crossed the border without any id underage. customs people were pissed, but they let me cross. You might have a little issue due to your age and date of travel, but just deal with their shit (if any) and you should be fine.
