Can you taste it? 09/10 Season on the way

It is usually around this time of year that I can taste the upcoming season. Up until this point it is summer, where little tangible thought or activity of skiing actually occurs. But around the middle of August the reality of the upcoming gear and movie releases and the piquing of cooler temperatures gives way to knowing, not just dreaming, that snow is sooner than ever. Within a few weeks many mountains around the world will get their first dusting and mountains will start making plans for early openings and staff positions. Glory.

SO this thread is pointless except that it is on other peoples' mind. Can I get an 'amen' from the congregation?>
