Can you remount bindings into the same holes?

yes, just drill out the plugs if there are any in there, don't use to big of a bit that end up you making the holes bigger. make aure the holes are open and free of crap in them, just flip the ski over and knock it out then drop some wood glue in the holes and mount the bindinds. don't get crazy and wrench on them cause since the holes have been mounted in once they are more suceptible to getting stripped the second time around.
 
I'm kinda curious, I have a friend with some crappy tyrolia binders on his Fujatives, He wants to buy some look's to put in there. Will he have to mount them in a different spot? I don't think the mounting holes are the same.
 
^^ screw holes are different from binding to binding but the same for series, for example look p10 p12 and p14 have the same as do axials. but tyrolias will have different holes from looks
 
i did that to my crichtons. i just put some wood glue in it, and dont use the drill-screwdriver.
 
incorrect. It can be professionally done. It is lose/lose either way, because you either use the same holes after a heli coil or you have 8 extra holes underfoot.
 
So if you were to remount a pair of skis that had tyrolia bindings on them with a pair of p12's or PX12's would the holes be too close to the old ones if you remounted them at the same spot?
 
ohhh thats wat u meant. well, refill the holes with ptex then mount the new bindings slightly forward or slightly back (maybe 1-2 cm) depending on what you want, so the holes r seperate
 
they ski just as good as new... i've had no problems with them sofar. and it actually is more fun now, cause they are wrecked and i dont care if they break anymore, so i ride them hard and do stupid stuff which i would have never done on new skis.
 
no, i meant with the same binding. I am trying to get a delamed ski warrantied. I was just curious what would happen if they didnt replace them. My shop says that it would be find to use the same holes, but I thought before that you couldnt use the same holes twice. Anyways, thanks guys.
 
You can use the same holes you just have a much greater chance of your binding ripping out and loosing it in snow. So why do that? Just mount the bindings .5 cm forward or backwards is a much better idea.

Oh yah I have worked in one of the best Utah area shops for 3 years now...what would i know though, I only do this shit everyday.
 
Using the same holes for a second time is perfectly fine as long as you're not an idiot or a muscle head about it when you put them in. past twice i wouldn't recommend it either. most likey the binding won't rip out if you're careful.

hahaha you ski in michigan pussy. Try skiing used holes at a real mountain and see if your bindings stay on your feet. Ive seen them rip out multiple times. Why risk it.
 
used holes don't know the difference where they are skiing. And i've also seen used holes rip out along with fisrt time holes. Either way isn't a big deal, its up to the user.
