i can sort of hear it if my speakers are turned up all the way
 
i can hear it perfectly its more loud than the high pitch noise that comes from a tv when its on a channel that doesnt have anything playing.

so bad... my ears ring all the time, i can barely hear 12, 10 and 8 are the only other ones i can hear for sure

the reason why i posted this is because today one of my teachers took a guitar amp and played this sound in the hallway. and everyone was like aww my ears and i was like wtf is going on i dont hear shit
 
yeah the computer monitors in the classrooms at my school all do that afte rbeing on for a while, then all the students are telling the teacher to turn off their monitor because of the noise, the teachers have no clue what we're talking about

Whats the science behind this? Do our ears lose the sense of hearing high frequencies as they get old and tired?
 
to put it simply, the ear drum looses taughtness and ability to pick up really high frequencies.

but once at my grandmas cottage i heard this ringing in my ears and couldnt find out what it was, but i could only hear it in the house. it turned out that it was some sort of pest repellant device and that it was supposed to be inaudible to humans while it drove me crazy for a day. nobody else could hear it and they all thought i was crazy. it was pretty frustrating.
 
wow so loud that killed my ears.... The second thing posted I couldnt hear it til 17.4 but I have a feeling no human can
 
14.9 but ive always been able to hear wierd ringging noises. I always thought I was crazy cause nobody else could hear them, or maybe I really am going nuts....
