Can you cork a 180????

u carve of the lid and drop your shoulder, preform a 180 degree spinning maneuver and then land backwards or forwards depending on the starting orientation

yeah i did one this year on accident. just grab mute and tweak it back hard and drop ur shoulder kinda. it was an accident but i did one.

kids post videos of themselves doing 5's and 7's that are just as corked as that, and people fight over it saying it isn't corked. why is this corked and those aren't?

stop and thing about it for a minute. picture the axis you're spinning on in a cork 5 or 7, or even 3. try and work that into a 180. it doens't work. you can go off axis, but in order for a full on cork you need at least a 360 to complete the rotation.

that wasn't a cork 180, i've only seen a snowboarder do one, a real one, he got a lot of air though

these are my favorite threads. Now all we do is discuss the conclusions from other corked 180 threads.

Watch One Love by Finger on da Trigga...there is one in the first part. That is snowboarding though.

Shangai Six Extra Movie Homies...Thats it...That one in the begginging of X=10 is NOT a cork 180 he just samarai tucks his legs in....fuckyea

If you REALLY do a cork 180 (head below feet) - chances are (and physics backs me up on this) that you WILL land on your head or shoulders first.

wow. three days ago we werent even sure if switch cork 3's were truly doable. now we're down to cork ones. what's next, cork zero spins?

cork straight airs are dank legit..

just go off and get all corky-fied to the side, and do like a spread eagle so one foot kinda lands it then try to ski away. good fun

in shanghia six when there doing the backcountry booters they kinda do a cork 1. they lay out and then pop there skis out right at the end

so uve turned 90 degrees side ways while 180in and thne all of a sudden switched directions and turned 90 degrees back up?

yep he's got it right. to do a cork 180 you would land with your skis perpendicular to the snow, causing you to eat shit and most likely die

you can. Think of a cork 180 in terms of a stepup. and if you carve real hard from the side, its definitely possible. I can do them on trampolines, so they're possible on snow. don't be so close minded with your jumps. think hip, step down, bc jump....that sorta thing.
