always been a seahawks fan...but watching their first three games...I just dont know if they are going to live up to the hype...
 
Dear NFL, that rule you made this year about tossing the ball after a play being a 5 yard penalty is the most lame, entertainment limiting rule you've EVER created. It does nothing but take away from the game. Punishing a player for showing excitement and emotion when he just busted a huge run, or made an awesome catch.

but really, they are playing pretty well but im not sure how far they are gonna make it. if they play how they have been, i wouldnt be surprised to see them in the super bowl. but ben is bound to fuck up a game sometime....

colts are looking pretty good as well but i dont think they are gonna make it much further than 1st or 2nd round of playoffs.

im thinking pats vs. steelers for afc championship game? that would be a good game im sure.

and i am an afc guy all the way so i know nothing about any nfc teams to even talk about them....

Look at who they've played, and those team's current records and performances.

They are a good team, but the stats are misleading.

meh, they're just playing inconsistent, though they absolutely raped the bucs, so don't know what you're talking about there. as for hype, what hype? most people picked them to lose the division, all the hype is for the other teams in the division. if we got some more consistent play out of the offensive side of the ball we'd start blowing out teams. as the defense actually played pretty well last week holding the high scoring bengals to 21, though they need to do better with the run defense, though weirdly they either seem to shut down the run (rudi johnson & cadillac williams) or get run over completely (edgerin james).
 
I watched quite a few episodes of ESPN that picked them to be the top of the NFC.....I like how they are incorporating burleson and engram more...and branch finally has a year under his belt, but I really am skeptical of their secondary. Two new safeties.....I guess I might be being a lil bit too picky. But if they are going to win their division they have to definitely start playing better....that loss to the cardinals was pretty shitty. Now with Alexander's wrist going to complete hell....idk
 
are u seriously questioning the ablility of the pats?? bad move my friend, they have put up 38 points in every game and given up just 33 points total, and that is without 2 of our defensive leaders, Richard Seymour and Rodney Harrison. Lord knows wat kind of career stats Brady would have right now if Moss had been there since 2001. We made two legitimate playoff teams from last year look like pee wee football teams. Right now the patriots are just manhandling the rest of the NFL and it will continue. The Bills are just a poor coached team and the Pats annihilated them just like good teams do even when they had a sub par first half. The Pats will put up at least 40 on the shitty Bengals defense this monday. Mark my words
 
monday night football this week is gonna be nuts, I can't wait.

It's almost weird, I watch the patriots play and they're practically flawless, everything is executed perfectly. Then I watch another team play and it almost seems sloppy, kinda like the difference between college football and the pros. It's like the pats are on a whole new level.
 
The Pats are so damn good this year....thats prolly why i hate them so much...im more of an underdog kind of guy...but yeah the pats are at the highest tier of the league
 
I said the Patriots are a good team, but again, look at the CURRENT stats of the teams they have played. Not last years records, but the current stats thru the 3 games of this season.

The patriots are a top team for sure, but don't go putting them on such a massive platform above everyone until they match up with someone this season who has proved a winning team this season.

I've made it quite clear that they are a very good team THIS year, and they are one of the best THIS year, but their stats are misleading THIS year due to the teams they have played.

This thread is about this year, not the previous 6.

It's all a moot point though because the NFL season and playoff structure is not demanding enough to really truely determine who the best team is anyways.
 
ok first of all take it easy. second, ur saying that the chargers arent a respectable team? there pretty fuckin good if u ask me. ya, there record might be 1-2, but the 2 games they lost were on the road and to 3-0 teams. and the pats killed them.
 
Sorry but the Chargers have played like absolute crap this season thus far....I personally think they should have kept Schottenheimer instead of being so hasty to turn over a new leaf with Norv Turner.
 
I mean what the hell were they thinking anyways....the only reason they let Marty go was because the owner thinks he is God....they would definitely be better off with schottenheimer...atleast he got them to the playoffs...who knows what they will do now....
