Can we delete the megathreads already?

Let's be honest....absolutely no one is referring back to any of the 414 previous pages in the threads such as post your latest purchase.

 
it looks horrifically cluttered and terrible. I'm all for allowing epic threads, but when it's a thread like that, where everyone just dumps a picture and exits, it's awful.
 
I dunno man... those massive page lists are the legendary thread badges of honor.

Personally I say if it actually goes that far... let it live. If people stop caring it will go away.
 
Yeah agree. But I also agree with the latest purchase thread being stupidly large.

Doesn't make sense to me why anybody would want it deleted. And in 10 years we will all be able to look back and laugh at the things we were buying
 
ok maybe not delete, but lock or put a cap on them somehow.

415 pages is too much, especially when it's not even discussion or legendary content.
 
Would there be a way to change the display of threads so instead of showing this massive paragraph-esque collection of pages it looks something like this?

It would eliminate clutter, keep whiney bitches from complaining, and allow us to keep mega threads like that one alive

It was def suggested, cause its a great idea, however I do believe it was said that it takes entirely too much recoding? Not positive but I remember them saying it wasn't easily implementable.
 
I agree, good idea if its not that hard to do.

But I do reference back to those threads sometimes. If I post something I wanna hear what people think about it... Or I like to see what people are buying and if I think something is cool I try to find out where I can buy it.

LET THEM LIVE!
 
I think if it was possible, that would be completely perfect.

Doesn't take up way too much room, doesn't mean deletion, and you can still go back and refer to past pages.

And it wouldn't need to be put in place for a thread that's like 10 pages or anything, just the mega huge ones that exceed several hundred.
 
you know, at this point...I was just looking at it, and wondering how epic a 1000 page thread would be.

So i change my stance, for the time being. Until we hit 1000....LET IT RIDE!
 
This is definitely a good idea...I don't think the thread should be deleted cuz it's NS history
