Im in desperate need of new skis and i was looking at line anthems. im not 100% in the park but i want to improve soo much more. so i was lookin at the anthems but i want them mounted 2 cm or so back so i can still rip through the trees and shallow powder. is tht possible for the anthems? or does it affect the performance of the ski and make it suck dick?

not so much the actual butter zones but the sidecut and overall flex of the ski. If you move them back from center you will move yourself off the symmetrical sidecut and symmetrical flex. The butter zones are more towards the tips. I wouldn't really go more than 1cm back. Has anyone mounted an Anthem/Invader further back than 1cm from center?

this. the anthems whole design is made around the center mounting point, mounting them anywhere else will def make them feel wierd when skiing but hey some of us center mount skis that arent made for center mounting. if you dont want to center mount your skis dont but the anthems. id say chronics or chronic kryptonite if you wanna stick with line.

You could get marker Schizos on them. That would be the best option if you really like the Anthems but arent sure if you want them center mounted.

It would be stupid to mount anthems anywhere but center. If you want to mount a bit back, don't get a symmetrical ski.

Anthems are a symmetrical ski, so mounting them anywhere but center would be a waste of said skis design. And skiing pow and all mountain on center mounted park skis isn't exactly a challenge.

It has already been pretty thoroughly covered but yeah, just don't buy the anthems, there are tonnes of other skis out there that would work so much better!

But it would be really dumb too mount anthems anywhere but center. It defeats the entire purpose of the ski and its symmetrical flex and sidecut.

obviously the ideal mounting point of the anthem is center. It will pretty much ruin the flow of the ski, making its symmetrical flex and sidecut more of an annoyance than anything. If you want a ski that shreds in the park, but can still rip trees and powder, try the chronic cryponites.
