Can one of you NS thieves please return the chair back to Aspen?

How the fuck did these guys manage to get a chair off the cable and down the mountain without dying lmao

so the mtn ops guys pulled the chair off for some "routine work" and left it near the top terminal, which you can legally drive a car within 100 yards of (aspen mountain has a public road that runs straight up it). so they probably just picked it up, put it in a truck, and drove away...

Ah man that’s a lot less exciting than what I was imagining

hahaha, reminds me of this one time me and da boyz were trippin on some lucy and had the genius idea of cutting the heavenly gondola down....luckily we had a good babysitter

They could just hang a weight where the chair would be. They can make do without.

Seriously haha. I would hope Aspen has some better problem solvers on their management team than this. I would assume cable diameter is somewhat standardized. Buy a new chair from somewhere or weld something together.

The design and mechanics of Bell Mountain lift requires that all chairlifts are on the line.

Are we supposed to believe that Aspen doesn't own a single replacement chair for this lift?

Thats funny as fuck.

On a serious note who would return that and why would they leave it off at the top of the lift without a camera. and can they seriously not make a new one or have a replacement? if so they can just make a new fixed grip quad. They should have the money since everything is such a ripoff there

You clearly have never driven on the roads at aspen in summer time or been there in the winter.

It’s a two hour drive to the top of that lift.

And it’s worth it ski there.

You can’t just replace a two chair lift with high speed lift in two months you buffoon.

Side note: it’s probably not expensive to replace or move all the chairs to take the space up. Just labor intensive which the company sees as expensive.

They could just put a new lift but I forgot its almost ski season since it was august like a week ago lmfao. So it would have to wait till next season. I still don't see how aspen can't just fix this without it being such a big deal

Putting in a new ski lift takes years of planning.

But yeah aspen just being lazy. They have multiple yards with a shit ton of lift parts and chairs. They probably have one at Snowmass by the campground lift.

Clearly the start of a bigger plan to take the whole lift

I can imagine stoned lift op guys be like "hey are there less lifts than usual man?" After they stole 75% of the chairs.

They're being dramatic, the lift can run without a chair. This shit happens across the whole country every summer, we have to lock up or hide all the chairs we take off during summer maintenance

Hahahahahahahahahhaha reading an article on newschoolers? Saga with the jokes

Just call in a chair lift detective. Chair lift detection is a highly involved and scientific process.
