use em for your door near christmas time, some people cross old 40s-50s skis and put garland on em, i think the pistols would look sick with a little garland hanging on the door during christmas time

i think drilling them all the way through and putting a bot on them would be a better idea..then just fill it in with ptex..but whatever

ive mounted and worked on enough skis back in the day to say technically, this is a bad idea

and in common sense terms, your setting yourself up to eat shit hard. I cant blame you for wanting to save the skis, but nothing you can 'add' is going to give the ski (drilled 4 times) any more chance of holding in a binding. chances are its gonna drill in fine, and maybe a day, maybe a week, maybe a MONTH later, the entire system your planning is gonna rip out when you least expect it, and it might not be on a 10 footer either

so yeah, unfortunately id say the skis are kicked. I personally wouldnt experiment around with that sorta thing, cause the chances of injury are pretty easily accomplished

soo , sorry i didn't read any of the other posts and comments, but it sounds liek you didn't plug the first holes after you moved the bindings? Well yuo really should plug any holes, right after they are open, i don't kwo what you wrere thinkin....anwyas ahhhh yea i guess that idea sounds ok, how far apart are yourt new holes? If they are too near, your bindings may rip out ( assuming the ski doens't juts break in half beacuse it is roted) if your hoels are too near you should put brass inserts in and epoxy that shit up, then the bingings will be less likely to rip out.

ARTINGE-------if someone knocks on your door and askes to see your slong because there is a crazed slong moneky paintintg, don't show it to him, it is just a Scan, he really only wnats to see your stuff.

Yeah man I would say no....youre just going to fuck the skis up more doing that or hurt yourself, probably both. Skis just arent meant to do that, even if you do safely bolt a plate on top it will make the skis ski like shit. They have natural flex points depending on teh side cut, you mounting your own plate will just fuck that up.

Thanks to everyone for all the feedback. I still think this will work but I wanna be suoer careful about it. Yeah, don't ever buy anything from Sam Caylor he will jsut rip you off.

I am very discouraged to the fact that the site adminster didn't look at my profile or ask before doing something like this. I may be new to this website but I have been skiing more then most of you.

PLEASE research or ask before making such assumptions like this one.

just mount them and use em for urban skis, as funny as it would be to see seth pistols used for urban

i just personally dont think the risk of injury is worth trying to save these skis

if you put in a long strip of metal use 4130 .o65 sheet and put 3 screws at each end of the plate, use sheat metal screws and lots of glue. this is going to way screw up the flex pattern but it should hold decently.

like i said before take a pic of them! but on a nother note, i would much rather see you just drill another set of holes in the ski, just because htey have been dirlled 3 times doesnt mean another one will kill the ski! There can be other reasons your bindings came out! Take a pic and also what bindings do you have on them??

ok last idea i have, wildest. drill a 1/16 hole in each screw location all the way through. then widen for the screws. get 8 tnuts and 8 bolts/machiene screws that match the tnuts threading. counter sink on the base of the ski the tnuts. bolt them together and use red lock tite!!!! then ptex over the t-nuts and re surface the bases. makesure you use loctite and you may need to cut the screws/bolts for clearance.
