Can i use a macbook pro 15 inch retina as monitor for wii u

yeah i was thinking that it would work because of an hdmi slot, plus im going to college next year so it would save space.
 
Yeah macbook pro cant. They only have an hdmi output meaning they can only send and not receive. Most laptops dont have that ability .
 
It requires a little hardware mod near the HDMI socket, the pin layout and chips are present just not hooked up, probably so they can feature it as a new feature on the next model. It's also already enabled in the software but hidden.

For a small fee I can add the absent wiring and enable the software. You do need to send me your Retina MacBook of course so i can do the procedure.

Correct. There are very few laptops than have HDMI in. I think there was an alienware laptop a while back that could do it but that's about it. Just buy a second monitor and connect your Wii U to it.
 
meh i just thought it would be a cool thing. i have it hooked to a projector right now. kind of hard to play in the daytime but then i just switch to tablet gameplay then.
