Can i get in shit for making a facebook group?

im in canada ps. and i made a group "i dont need to have sex, cuz smu security fucks me all the time" smu is my school and the security doesnt let u party really. anyway can i get in shit for this? i left the group too as the admin and joined normally but i think since im using their internet that they can see what ive done right? am i in shit or no

as long as there is no incriminating evidence like you drinking underage or something you should be fine. You are just expressing your opinion
 
cuz its the same at every school....... and ya maybe i did think about being suspended from university cuz i paid a rediculous amount to be here but i wouldnt really call that paranoid, i just dont know to what extent they could tell what ive been doing

just plead freedom of speech. as long as nothing incriminating is on there I don't see there would be a problem expressing your opinion on the security. Its basically like a petition or a protest

As far as I'm aware Canada is a member of the UN. They probably also have a bill of rights or something similar which protects various rights under the law of the country.

Freedom of speech isn't unique to the US
 
ya but that only means you cant get in any legal trouble. You dont have to do anything illegal to get in trouble with a school. A few kids at my school (high school) made an fbook group called "I want to fuck (kids name)'s mom". They got a few days iss and had to apoligize to her and the kid.

and whoever quoted the fucking UN, the fucking UN has no real power. They dont have any way of enforcing their rules locally ==== no power.

I think the difference between those two groups would be that the "I want to fuck" part shows that they have an intention to do something (whether or not it would be illegal.. ie underage.. rape. whatevs lol) Whereas this other group is just unhappy with security and voicing their opinion (I assume) so I don't really think the uni would be able to do much. But you'd have to check all the rules and regs at the uni, there might be a clause somewhere that prevents criticism of the uni or something. In all reality I don't think they'd give a shit. They probably have much better things to be doing than looking at facebook. Anyway.. me not being a lawyer im gonna shut up now haha.
 
dude its highschool, they really cant do much. have at it...your punishment will be small, especially compared to the story you will tell later. i did shit like that and got suspended for a day, so worth it.
 
well, 2 years ago, when i was in sec 4, some kids made a fbook group about the new librarian. then people commented and theyre like, shes a nazi, i would gun he down... and so on. so a couple days later, all the kids who commented got suspended, it was pretty serious. i know that at my high school, they had secret accounts that were madeup people, and they added a lot of people and lurked them haha. thats prolly cause its a all boys, private catholic school.....
 
ah yes the "Let's Kill the Nazi Librairian" group a classic at our schoolI heard that this year at the same school some kid made an account of "Adolf Hitler" and then he proceeded to go to the page of a big finals football game where he threatened to kill all the n***** on the opposing team the police tracked his computer or something and he got expelled plus he had to make a public apology at both schools...dumbass
 
yeahh i think it was cerulli, i think dave knows him ahah. and it was for the juvy finals for soccer i think, and yeah he made the Hitler account and hes like im gonna finish burning all you jews and shit like that, whatta freak

Kids at my school made a group sayin some teacher was a C#nt

and if you joined you got a detention

wrote on the wall 3 day suspension

and were an admin 10 day suspension

im in high school

your in college as long as your not threatening to kill people or some shit its fine... plus i doubt the administration really looks through all the fb groups on the smu network looking to get people in trouble. Fuck i was in a group that had a bunch of pictures from a party we had in our lounge my freshman year and nothing happened and we were blatantly breaking rooolz son. your fine. chill.
 
My friend joined a group about this girl who didn't even go to our school about how she just added everyone on facebook. The group was called "who the hell is **** *****" name for stars. Well the admin left and he was placed as the admin by default. He ended up getting suspended for a few days. If you think shit might happen because of agroup, don't do it. Its not worth it.
 
I am pretty sure that because it is something that started at school the school can suspend you if you get caught!

Or at least that is how it is in my school district!
 
A load of people got suspended in my school for making a group taking the piss out of one of our teachers, fb is dangerous mang.
 
This girl at my school got suspended for making a facebook group called " kick a rep hockey player day ". It was right after that kick a ginger day. You would also get suspended if you kicked the player. This is a different situation but i think that your group is your opinion and you shouldnt get in shit.
