Thanks man... yeah I really just need to get my foot in the door (aka an email address). Here's my cover letter to K2 that I sent to the general HR email listed on their website. Wouldn't you want to hire me??
To Whom it May Concern:
As a first-year student at Franklin Pierce Law Center, I am seeking practical legal experience in an effort to complement and improve my scholastic knowledge of the law.
I am particularly interested in a position at K2 because of the potential to work in a sports-technology environment and grow my skills. It has always been a dream to work for a company like K2 because of my obsession with sports - in particular skiing. Given my history of hard work, flexibility, and varied learning experiences, I feel that I would be an asset to K2. The prospect of a position where I would be able to interact with sophisticated products and high-caliber personnel on a regular basis is very exciting.
The attached resume highlights my achievements throughout my academic and extracurricular careers. I was an interdisciplinary engineering and management (IE&M) major in my undergraduate time at Clarkson University, and I have a profound interest in intellectual property and the interaction between business, technology, and the law. The IE&M program is a unique combination of fundamental business classes with technical electrical and mechanical engineering classes. I was able to build on these skills during my summer internships at Spectra Engineering, P.C., IBM, and E-Pro Engineering & Environmental Consulting in various engineering and business positions that required applying my technical abilities to practical real-world problems.
If you would like to see a writing sample, transcript, or list of references, please do not hesitate to ask. I would appreciate the opportunity to meet or speak with you personally. You may reach me anytime at (XXX) XXX-XXXX or XXXXXXXX@gmail.com. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Charles S. Rauch
