Camping spots in/around steamboat

I'm looking for somewhere to park my car, and maybe my pop-up camper this winter for a few nights at a time

free would be the goal, but i'll take what i can get

anyone know of anywhere i could do this?

i've camped in a pickup truck camper in various parking lots around town before (walmart or pull outside some condos). popping open a camper would be harder though. there is a KOA on the east side of town.

if we find a someone to plow my driveway you can park in my driveway. steamboat blvd area.

I know my directions suck.
If you're driving in from Dillon/Silverthorne, make a left on the last small road before the first gas station on the left once you hit Steamboat. There's a man-made lake with water ramps and trampolines. Camped there one weekend because a friend of a friend owned the lake. Go poach the water ramps.

yea man definitely be sure to poach the water ramps in the winter. but yea dude you can come and plow my driveway/stay when you want. got a fire pit and all sorts of cool stuff.
