Camping memorial day weekend

hey i live up in the seattle area and I am thinking about putting a group of people together to go camping and skiing down at mt hood for memorial day weekend. it would be super helpful if anyone had suggestions as to which campsite would workout best, and if anyone could share some helpful tips for putting together the trip.
thanks

i was able to book a campsite on timothy lake... most campsites are first come first serve with the exception of a few... hopefully its warm enough in a week and a half.

ill be camping for the next few weekends. i duno about the airstrip. there is still quite a bit of snow. i usually find a spot off one of the forest roads. Works pretty well.

try trillium lake, i camped there and its sick, just past the entrance to the access road up timberline.
i'm not sure if its open yet? you get a amazing view of the mountain at night, you're literally at the base. its where andy and will stayed when they were at hood during the summer for TC.

yeahh that is good to hear, lets all party.

ill be in the group with 2 jeeps

lets get a pong tournament going or something

ill be there in a grey grand cherokee and probably a few other cars. im tryen to party fersure. just hope it doesnt rain....

id like to know this as well. i will be skiing there this weekend.

what have the conditions been like lately? cold?

thanks

Its been typical northwest. Not up there right now, but looks like there is no sun in site... at least until memorial weekend.
If the airstrip is too packed or wet there are a couple of campsites down going towards hood river that are pretty nice and right on the river. I would recommend those but it is memorial day weekend, so good luck.
Living the parking lot life also is not a bad way to go. Did that for a week at the beginning of the month.

it is snowing so hard in govy right now. timberline has at least 5". the snow is good too because the sun hasnt been out to slow it down too much. the weather is making camping tough but well worth it. havent been to the park for 2 days but like someone else said there are 4 jumps, and around 10 boxes and rails, 4 in a row i think

2 new jumps up today, and a section with like 20 rollers. all in one long line. gettin sick, just need better weather

what were you guys wearing?^ i was there

super fun. park was good. wish the jumps were open. but the fresh snow was nice too

it was so wet, if you go bring many tarps. But everyone up there is super chill. Even met santa claus and drank with him almost every night while he talked about going to beer festivals and brewereys haha
