Hi everybody! Im going to a ski camp this summer.Wich one to you recommand ? Share you experience please!
I didnt found any other thead talking about that on the forum
Thank's!

Momentum for sure! The line ups are way smaller aince they pretty much have there own T-bar. I'd take momentum anyday.

COC has the best park for sure...but the t-bar can be a pretty excruciating experience. Campers have to wait in the t-bar line which gets ridiculously long.

Hahaha how about some responses from people who don't WORK for momentum? Smart's camp is sick, for sure, but COC is pretty fucking awesome too. Ken has the most amazing attitude towards running his camp, it's not about making money or furthering a brand or anything, he just wants kids to have the best time possible. We were in the same buildings as the campers, and I don't think I saw one over two sessions who was anything other than completely ecstatic about the experience. The park crew does a fantastic job of maintaining their features and there are a TON of them, and the coaching staff is pretty stacked with amazing skiers. As for 98% snowboard 2% ski, I think I actualy saw more skiers than boarders there overall, but the snowboarders are fun to ride with anyway. So there's much to be said for COC too.

haha I LOVE the biases here. Personally, from someone who has been to the glacier for 5 years in a row, I can honestly tell you that COC is the superior camp. Momentum is good, and the attitude there is amazing, but it does not compare at all to COC. COC's park is SO MUCH BIGGER (and better in my opinion..just more variety), and it's on a much flatter slope too, which makes it easier to set up and stuff. Both camps have dope accommodations, coaches, and activities. Although COC is a mix of snowboarders, it isn't "98% snowboarder, 2% skier" (that's an extremely ignorant statement on the part of whoever that guy was ^^...) You still have a big ski group to shred with, and amazing coaches to guide you. Being with snowboarders gives you a different perspective too, but when it come down to the fundamentals everyone's just out there to shred and have a good time. COC also isn't "sooo crowded", like many people would have you believe. The park is so huge (like 4 times as big as any other camp out there) that you don't ever run into issues.
Obviously I'm advocating COC here, but it's for a good reason. From much experience up there, I can honestly say that it's the superior camp (not that momentum isn't amazing either, because it is). Either way you can't go wrong. If you want more info, feel free to pm me.

Haha, ya my opinion does come off as extremely biased. But i have been coming to the glacier for 7 years and I have attended COC, High North, and SMS (no Momentum) and the best experiences I had were by far at Momentum. Before I was a coach (i only got a coaching job this past summer). Take it from me 2 years ago and it'd stand in the same position.

As a former bitch, I feel I can have a relatively unbiased opinion on the situation up there, and personally I would go with Momentum just because there may be a much smaller park, but the stuff they have is still dope and youll get to ski far more just because the t-bar line at coc is just plain retarded. I guess if you're looking for more of a camp experience or just the premium park I'd go with COC, much more campy and their lane has a better pitch for park related purposes, but I was a much bigger fan of the vibe over at momentum where you dont have to deal with so many effing people.

id say momentum because even though the park isnt as big, the liift lines are waaaaaay shorter, the coachers are all the shit, and theres no snowboards

unfortunately i cant say High North is the best camp ever now so its gotta be COC. I actually prefer having snowboarders around to be honest, it makes it feel like you're riding at a winter mountain. The terrain is flawless and theres too much to sesh. in summary, they're both amazing camps but COC's lane is far better than SMS's, who's lane is incredibly steep for most rail slayers, and the lane gets rutted out quick but the jumps are great,. SMS has more creative rails (Sroller, wallride, C's, etc) where as COC is more progressive rails like flatdowns, flats, downs, ups, downflats, etc. The only other downside to COC is the liftline

Yeah fair enough... honestly, whatever camp kids choose to go to they'll pretty much for sure have a good experience. Even without high north the camp situation on the glacier is solid. At least until it all melts.

Exactly. You'll have the time of your life at either camp! Both have great terrain, great coaches and all-around good times. Choices.

I haven't spent any time at momentum but I was lucky enough to kick it with the ns dudes at coc this summer for a couple weeks and it was dope as hell. ken takes a damn good care of everyone of his campers and they all love him. the park was sick and there were features for everyone from dudes skiing for the first time to cedrick and anthony who were more than happy the shred with campers all day every day. the party was rad, the facilities were rad and the camp was rad.

momentum is sooo much better

imagine if you took every dick snowboarder in the world and threw them in a park= COC

Momentum for sure. I went there last summer and the coaches were all super tight. And you get so many laps on the T-Bar. And also you sleep in a hotel room instead of staff housing.

i had lots of fun at camp of champion last summer. the park is insane. the only thing bad about it is the line up which is about 30 minutes. but i had a coaching pass so i waited a max of 30 sec. i had time to do 2 runs and people were still waiting in line.

The COC park is better than momentum one for sure. But it doesn't matter if you only get 5 laps because you have to wait in line for an hour.

I say momentum just because the T-bar line is sooo much shorter.

I'd have to go with COC. Their lane is alot smaller but it is packed with so many features and they maintain their park so well. The momentum lane is very steep compared to COC and I prefer to ski a flat park that has easy transistions compared to a steep one. Some of the best features I've ever hit were there and they also have the bag jump which is a really rare thing to be able to hit.As far as snowboarders, I liked having them there they all shred and I didn't see much hate towards skier as you would at a mountain during the winter because everyone is there for the same reason which is to progress and hit one of the best parks in the world. The T-bar line for COC isn't that bad either the most I've ever waited was 10 minutes and when your in the COC lane looking over at momentum you know you've made the right choice.

dude high north... :( it was the best camp ever... but i would say go momentum... everything i heard about that camp was sick, and their setup was really bomb when i was there. i talked to a few coaches from there and there were dope. although high north has my heart forever..

They are both super fun and have good vibes.

I like momentum better because of the short liftline, so theres way more laps, theres less people shredding momentum so you dont really have to wait to hit something and their stepover was the best jump on the glacier by far the past summer.

But COCk has way sicker features allround and if you can snipe someones coaches pass, you can ride the coaches line and advoid the 20min liftline and get tonnes of laps. COCk also has some really fun stuff like the halfpipe, backflip jumps, hips, and hte snaketrack.

Both are so sick and so much fun, you can't go wrong either way.

We'd be stoked to have you come shred wth us. It is true that no mater which camp you choose, you'll have an amazing experience. There are a few differences between us and Momentum:
1. Bigger park. Our lane space is longer and we have more lanes. Plus all of our lane space is 100% park. We're able to get a lot of features in the park and a lot of variety so you cna take diferent lines in the park all day. I've seen photos of parts of our park I never got the chance to session last summer!
2. Accommodation. We're in a dorm, and Momentum is in a hotel. So their accommodation is more plush than ours. We honestly got over the cost of hotels and thought of the other rad things we could afford to do if we didn't stay in a hotel. So we got the dorm, created the compound with a huge mini ramp, massive flat screen tv's for video game sessions and rock band battles, opend our own 7/11 style store in the dorm, we call it 6/10 as it's almost as good as 7/11, and invested in more rails for the park, increased the grooming budget and hired additional diggers to keep the park in great shape all day, every day.
3. We have snowboarders in the park. it's true, we're not just a ski camp. We just want campers that love to ride park, we don't care whats on your feet. Well thats not entirely true, no snowblades are allowed and we're really strict with that one. Can you blame us though? If you're not a fan of sharing your park with snowboarders, then we're not the camp for you.
4. Our t-bar is busier. But really only in the afternoons. In the mornings it's mellow and you can lap the park as fast and as often as you like, around noon the public gets up on the glacier, and the line can get long. That is when you start hiking and sessioning features in the park if it gets too bad. it's not as bad as some make it out to be, but the line ups can get longer compared to the t-bar Momentum uses. Even if it is busy though, it's a good chance to rest your park legs and get your flirt on!
5. Private pipe. We are the only camp on the glacier with our own, private pipe. Every other pipe is shared among different camps, or even with the public, but not ours. It's our campers only. Everyone else will get a ski boot up the arse if they try to poach it.
I hope thats gives you a good idea of the differences and like some have said, you'll be stoked with either camp you choose. We just prefer you ski with us!

Thank's for your anwsers!I think I'll go to Momentum!
Can you compare the coaching? Cuz that's very important to me
