Camp fortune

i havent been their this year yet but i would imagine the setup is fun. i have only made it out to pakenham so far and the park opens today, the park looks like mostly jumps, and a few rails at the top, but if u go on the side trail their is a rail and a box which are fun to sesh caus no line ups and their very close together.
 
fortune's park is shit.. worst park they have ever had, becasue they fired the main park staff guy(Mike Hull). So don't get your hopes up.

p.s. The best park around here is Edelweiss
 
Definitely stay clear of fortune. They fired Mike Hull as mentioned, and all of thier park staff who used to ride the park all day fixing stuff. These people were the only reason Fortune had a somewhat of decent park, and even then they had to fight management non-stop. With these guys gone, the park will be total shit.

I've heard lots of good shit about Edelweiss this year, but i havent checked it out yet.

Calabogie has some sick rails, though only 3 good ones are set up right now. Urban style down rail, flat down box, and a flatbox. No jumps, but I assume they'll get some setup soon with all the snow they have.
 
my friends have season pases to edelweiss and they said that the park is pretty sweet(they snowboard), i have not been their yet this season so i cant give you my opinion on it but i have seen pakenhams park up close. i diddnt get to ride it because i was their the day before it opened.. i was kinda bummed out about that. but it seems they have some gaps/tables and from what it looked like their was some rails at the top of the park. the jumps look fun to learn stuff on. but again, i did not get to ride them.
 
im suprised that orage made a deal with fortune. fortune is gonna have to step it up if they want to host a decent event. im worried for orage and the kids that will show up.
 
I've been to Edelweiss 2 times now.

They have a great little park. And you can see that this is just a start.

I'm impressed actually, from what I saw they are trying to offer a full run devoted to jibs all over the place on one run. The gap jump at the bottom of the run is super safe with great lighting for night time

Edelweiss is going to be all about the night riding being open now over the holidays.

Fortune didn't have the lights on last week after the storms... lame.

Edelweiss did and we it ripped on 1080 guns!

Orage should switch to Edelweiss hands down.
 
Ya man don't go to fortune it's not worth your money right now. Even if you poach it's not worth your gas money to get there. Go to edelweiss if you wanna ride park.
 
Definitley not even close to the worst park they've had but yeah it is shyte. The park staff are a bunch of wankers though, some one needs to stab some sense into those homos. I don't understand why they don't hire peeps who have been riding there all their life who know the hill, the community and the interests of others who ride there.

Anyways I never thought I would see a thread about Fofo in SG though.
