I'm in the market for a new camera, and I was wondering which one NS would recommend for me.
Are there any significant differences between a Sony VX2100, Canon GL2 or Canon GL1?

I'd be interested in hearing people's experiences with them.

im not really a camera person. but goin from a gl1 to a vx2100 is a pretty big jump in quality

Do you think that the jump is worth however much money it would cost in difference?

From what I understand and believe the vx2100 produces a sharper image while the gl2 has better color.

If your comfortable with handling a smaller body camera I would go for an HV30, but out of the two cameras you posted I would get the Vx2100. The Gl2 is still a great camera, but the buttons on the Vx2100 just make everything more comfortable and easy.
