i was considering a new camera so far i like the canon eos300v, does anyone have any additional info about the camera.

if anyone could suggest a camera that does the following i would be very grateful;

manual AND autofocus

manual apeture and shutter speed

apeture and shutter priority ( the feature that aut sets the other when you define one)

ability to do multple exposures per frame (about 5f.p.s ideally)

shutter speeds from 1/2000 to about 10+ seconds.

i may not be putting this across correctly but thanks anyway

p.s this ismy first 'real' camera.

Personally i've always been a big fan of Nikon camera's. look at either the f1 or f100...i think the f100 is the same as the f1, just a littke cheaper

Canon Eos IV high speed. It can be yours for about 2500 with a battery pack it can shoot 10fps. To get anything to shoot 5fps or more you are talking a couple grand. Drop a frame per second and get an Elan 7, put money into some good lenses and a verticle grip. Much better use of money since the faster the camera the more film you will burn through. Plus you dont need 5fps unless you are selling sequences...and a camera is only as good as the lens you have on it. So if you spend 3 grand on a camera body set up and 50 on a lens. I am sure some guy with a $250 rebel with an L series lens would take a better picture.

by the way in the states the name of the camera i am looking at is the EOS Rebel Ti

ya i've got the rebel ti, it's a sweet camera, has metal lens mounts rather than plastic on the rebel 2000or you could step it up and get the elan 2 or 7

5 frames per slide? say what, do you mean taking multiple pictures on the same frame without advancing the film? Thats very difficult for several reasons...one exposures are tough to calculate that way, you cant move your camera at all or things look out of focus, you can overexpose parts and underexpose other parts not giving it a good look. Multiple flash bursts give a similar effect at night, and if you are going to try to do a sequence on one frame of film with multiple exposures you will need some serious flashing anyways. Sequences are cut and pasted anyways, multiple exposures are only good for ghost effects not sequences.

Shit fool, just get the EOS 1Ds. Add a 300mm, f 2.8 to that. And if you're not on welfare and can afford something that doesn't blow, get a Hasselblad FE w/ a digi back. Don't settle for less that 25MP.

Or just get the absolute best that you can. Once you get your mits on your new toy, it won't matter worth shit. Shit, one of may favorite camera's is a Kodak disposable. Just starve for a couple of weeks, and shell out for the best you can.
